LOVE HIS BOOKS. Great book but a big let down is that it does not have any measurements or ease, Spotted a mistake in the first bodice block, Thinking about returning it. Would have beenif it had measurements and ease, This second volume of Fashion Patternmaking Techniques, guides readers through and examine the various procedures for transforming bodices, through dart manipulation as well as studying techniques for creating volumes, draping, and fitted patterns.
The book includes techniques for creating patterns for knit fabrics basic dress blocks and how to adapt these to different fabric patterns and types of garment for example, maternity dresses sleeves basic blocks for mens vests and jackets size grading for tops and dresses and the fundamentals of pattern layout.
This manual prepares the reader to apply these conceptsalong with their own intuition and creativityto constructing patterns, Not what I was expecting, Clear consice upto date with great illustrations and instructions, Probably not for complete beginners but easy to follow if you have a basic understanding, This is amazing book! I am so happy I bought it! I think this book is cheep to compare with the good pattern carried and good instruction! I am sure will help me so much as I am taking my bachelor in textile design.
I didn't expect it has many pages! I will recommend to others, Delivery:Fast but my book came already damaged, you can see from the pictures, I'm a bit dissapointed cause I will be using this book for a long time.
Content:I have attached pictures of the content that will be useful to know before buying this book, Book itself is amazing, has a lot of patterns and very well explained, but I didn't find the essential ones such as female slim fit shirt or female blazer, would have been nice to have at least one
of each, instead of hundreds of old fashioned blouses or dresses.
Male part is small but well explained, You also won't find any shirt or pants patterns here, To summarize: It's a great book but you will definitely need Vol,as well cause you won't find everything here, Little update:I started using this book and found out a lot of important moments that are not explained at all, dissapointed,
