I read this aloud to 5th 6th graders. It was captivating and exhilarating. Every time I stopped and put my book mark in, they begged me to keep reading! When we finished they were relieved to find out that it consists of a series!

This book is perfect for third to sixth graders who enjoy stories about animals, friendship, adventure, and fantasy. As an adult it was an enjoyable read, but is definitely suitable for children.
