The Golfers Mind : Rotella, Dr. Bob, Cullen, Bob Reviews

I am fairly new to golf and a high handicapper. I struggle a lot with some mental aspects of golf such as why can I hit the ball pretty well in lessons and on the practice area, but not on the course? And no, it's nothing to do with the lie it's akin to the yips. But I found this book of no relevance to me at all. Guess I'm not too surprised but wish I could find a book that deals with issues experienced by ordinary mortals

This book is easy to read & the advise is fairly simple but if you take it on board, practice it & stick with it you WILL enjoy your golf . I recognised all the symptoms, it was me over & over again, we as golfers may have different handicaps & abilities but deep down we all think in the same way, have the same fears & phobias, Dr Bob can help. Since reading the book i have been a lot calmer on the course, rational & at ease with myself & i have seen how negative & unsporting my anger was, i am learning to let things go, the only thing that counts, the ONLY thing i can control is my NEXT swing, my NEXT shot. This truly is a great book.

I'm afraid it hasn't made any improvement to my game, probably because my memory is so bad I haven't put the teachings into practise, because I can't remember them!!!!
-
Fantastic book and very well written. Easy to relate authors examples to the reality of golf

Good read on the mental side of the game and the techniques you can use to improve.
