I got likepages into it and the book just lost my interest as well as not being well written.
The story didn't feel realistic and characters didn't feel real, Overall I didn't like it enough to even care to finish it, First Read Win/ I never really cared for these kind of romances, It was pretty interesting but it didn't really keep my attention, I liked the main character Gail and could relate to her quite well, A decent read and I would recommend it to mainly those who love love romance novels, The relatioship was cold and businesslike, So was the book. Russell wants to expand his business into a new market, but he needs to show his investors that he can be a family man.
Plus, he has honestly gotten sick of the shallow and manipulative women that he has encountered among the jet set.
Gail seems perfect, but she's far from seeing him the same way,

Usually sitelinkKatherine Garbera is a pretty solid pick, but I just didn't like these characters, A woman who is supposedly as strong and driven as Gail would probably not change her mind every few minutes.
Plus I have no sympathy when the guiding force in a woman's life if her biological clock, because it's never really bothered me I have a feminist conspiracy theory on that topic, but I won't go into it here.


Russell says some of the right things, although some of his flirtation is shockingly awkward.
He "thinks" the right things, but it feels forced, inauthentic, and inconsistent, He doesn't seem to know himself whether he's driven by a desire for Gail herself, who he thinks she is, or who he thinks other will think they are together.
Lessminutes after both of them promise to be honest with each other, they both lie, I also sense that they are hiding things from the reader, which is more annoying than suspenseful.


Maybe I'm just not in the right frame of mind for a Harlequin Desire, I made a new tag for this book "revisitlatermaybe" for books that might warrant a second chance.
This was a bit confusing at the beginning, as the author talks about the show and the matchmaking company almost as if they were one and the same.
Once I figured that out it was a little better, It also do with a better read through by the proofreaders, as there was one instance where he unfastens her bra, the next paragraph he is describing her bra like it was still on, and the very next page he unfastens it again.
It was like the author was writing it one way, decided to change it, but forgot to delete it.


It was just too flat for me, Russell kept saying that he was a changed man, yet kept thinking that he's just using Gail to get his

merger to happen.
I never once felt the relationship at all, The whole thing was supposed to be a reality tv show and it just felt as fake as real reality tv.
