They'd never talked about sex in the year they'd known each other. Well, that wasn't quite correct: Sherlock had never said a word about sex; John had bemoaned his personal dearth of it on many occasions.

HOT. Woof.
Sherlock is making observations. John's the test subject. The setting is an exclusive London sex club. Yup. If you liked
The Great Sex Olympics of 221B then this is for you. -
Just so you know, this is absolute favorite Johnlock fanfic! It's a steamy hot M/M read which I have read so many times, you'd judge me!
-
Probably the longest PWP I've read. Despite all the porn it has UST up the wazoo. If you don't like girl bits in your m/m, don't even start this one.
-
3,5 stars, rounded because it was a free read.
It was fairly well done and had some "Sherlock" feeling, but it was nowhere as good for me as the other one I read recently (
The Progress of Sherlock Holmes), because this one felt more loosely built on the BBC series and the characters there. Also I found the sex club experiment not as hot as I thought I would.
But all in all a good read. -
3.5
I listened to the podfic of this.
This was good. Kind of surprisingly so, since there's not much going on other than lots and lots of sex. The sex does serve to both illustrate character and feelings, and to move the plot, so it works.
It worked better listened to in parts, though, because after a while I'd need a break from all the sex.
P.S. Loved the mushy romantic (if still kinky!) ending -
Sherlock felt more like Sheldon from The Big Bang theory and not Arthur Conan Doyle's Sherlock.
Frankly, a lot of things were repetitive, and I really got bored at the end of it, so I skipped a lot. And when the actual action finally arrived, it wasn't worth it *shrugs*
I really need a good book to read. -
A pretty good little jaunt into D/s and what might make both MCs tick....was getting a little frustrated in waiting for the 'genius' Sherlock to get a clue, but when he finally did, he did good *grin*

Initially, I was going to four-star this, because it's just a helluva lot of porn. If this were the porn equivalent of chocolate mousse, it would have kink instead of mousse and experimentation instead of chocolate.
Does that make sense? It doesn't make sense. Anyway, it's kinky porn, and Sherlock is experimenting with sex, trying to figure out how everything works - and especially how *John* works. And it's as delicious as chocolate mousse (I should stop going on about mousse, there's no dessert in the story).
"So," I said to myself, "it's hot, it works, the characters are in-character, it's fun, but there's not much else going for it. So it's, well - it should be more." But then, I wondered, "Why *should* it be more? It's hard enough finding good written porn as it is, especially in the D/s kink, with swinging on top, and this is just perfect as that."
I gave it a good, long thought, then decided I loved this as it was. So there we go. Good porn, although John and Sherlock take their time before they end up together. Go read it. Or not. Up to you. -
Sherlock & John
Insanely hot and detailed. Very instructive 😁
Feelings were there but at one point it was maybe too much sex... still a good one!!
😎🖤❤️🖤😎 -
I loved how porn was used as a plot for this. (Please note there are lady parts in with the m/m action)

this is what 50 shades of grey should have been.

I mostly liked this exploration into a romantic relationship between Sherlock and John Watson. A few things that I didn't care for:
* Too long! The inevitable ending always seemed so far away. I could have done without a night or two at the club. But hey, I still read the whole thing.
* The overuse of the phrase "because (insert some other word here meant to punctuate the reasoning)", such as "because seriously ". It's possible that I'm just sensitive to this. I also twitch when a person presents something (a photo, an article, a meme) and then states simply "this". This last part doesn't occur in the book, I just lump those sorts of 21st century styles together.
* How AMAZING John was at everything sexual. Pish.
Other than that, a fun read! -
Pure smut, nothing wrong with that just not my cup of tea. Watson and Sherlock try to find what turns them on. Lots of varied sex between Watson and others while Sherlock watches and instructs. Not much emotional connection, no angst, just simple smut.
-
Smut and i loved it!
-
If you are looking for a good smut, got for it!
If not, there are plenty of good fics with a good plot out there. -
Woohoo! Super hot and smutty!
Sherlock Holmes as a lover - with his acute perception, makes sense that he'd know your body better than you do in short order. -
very hot PWP, but the sharing-your-partner-thing is just not my cup of tea...
-
Undeniably hot, but not really my fandom. It works better if I imagine other people as John and Sherlock. Did I mention it's hot?
-
This author is a master of portraying those two men, but PWP of this length with F/M bits is not exactly this, what I'm looking for in fanfiction ;)
-
Just the way I like 'em, hot and angsty. I could see the bbc actors/characters in the dialogue and mannerisms. I generally have trouble seeing Sherlock as a sexual being but it worked here.
-
This is really an amazing fic! It's naughty as hell and sexy and steamy and really only should be read by those who can handle the kinks but man does it deliver. A classic for the ages!
-
Too much sex, not enough personality, and the women were like porn actresses - which isn't a compliment.
-
You know. Fanfic. Guilty pleasure. Etc.
