Think "topthings to do at the Blue Lagoon, " There aren'tthings to do at the Blue Lagoon, it's really one thing, but their format forced this gimmicky idea onto places where it didn't actually make sense.
Too brief. Even at that, many topics are repeated, There were a few notable suggestions, but not too exciting, Nice DK format but Top Ten series seem less rich with suggestions, maps and diagrams than usual DK travel books.
I boughtbooks for my trip to Iceland at the end of April/early May, and while I will withhold judgement until I have read the other two, this was incredibly useful.
It has a good balance of information and pictures, and is grouped in useful thematic and geographic ways.
It is a good weight for travel, with high quality photos for reference, The pull out map is also useful for planning routes or the order you want to visit things in.
Definitely recommend. This whole series is really useful, I have several for specific cities amp the latest one for Iceland, They are frequently updated to ensure info is current amp relevant,
Includes, history, sights, currency, laws, medical , how to get around, hotels, restaurants, stores/shopping, customs and more.

They are particularly handy due to their small size so easy to carry with you amp I always use the maps provided inside detailing specific city streets, location of attractions amp rail/metro/bus routes.

They are popular with my friends amp family who raid my library to plan amp take trips amp I can honestly say every one of them has been a great help.

I love DK's Topseries as they give a good overall picture of a place, enough to whet your appetite.
The slimline size, color pictures and logical layout of information help also, Another feature I appreciate is that plans are included for short stays versus long stays, which provides a jumping off point and helps you prioritize, as do the toplists.
A lot of information is packed into this small book, which makes it a good travel companion, Great quick guide, with lots of pointers for traveling, including foods, language help, and prices, Revised Mayedition Served its purpose as an intro to Iceland, Felt like it could have had more meat, and was a bit tough to navigate, The map was way too small to be useful, Great photos. Good overview of the sights of Iceland with plenty of pictures and maps, I really liked this book, It is a very simple way to trip plan, Although it doesn't go into a lot of detail on any of them it allows you to get a really good outline of things to see and do in the place you're visiting.
This is the only travel book you need for Iceland, We did the Ring road, as well as the West Fjords, This was well organized, and included so much, all in a nice compact package, It's Iceland! Very helpful little book,

I always love the DK books, Great tips and overview of sites to see, I wish this one had a fold out map with a little more detail for highway trips, but I'll try to find one there, I suppose.
