story is about a girl named Katie Kazoo, This book is about a girl who goes to science camp and meets a terrible bossy head counsel named Genie the meanie, She gives notebooks to all the kids and makes them write about everything they learned and walk around, Some activites that Genie makes the children do the class agree that some of them are fun theese include: making beeswax candles and feeding animals at the nature shack.
Genie is very uncouth to the children because she shouts at them as if they were soldiers that were not following orders, One day when the class and the head counsel went for a hike she decided to split the class into groups afterwards the "magic wind" turned Katie into Genie but at the same time Katie gets lost.
Then everything turns crazy. Genie falls into a mud slide then she drops and lands on a rock at the bottom then Katie returned to her regular body and looked as normal as possible.
After that Genie sees Katie's comfort and decides to be nice to the class for the rest of the day, Finally everything turns back to normal and the sad part is that the class leaves camp, Katie misses every thing including the animal shack, but most of all she misses, Genie and she never thought of Genie as a meanie any more, On the way back she feels a cool breeze on her and just in case it was the magic wind again tying to cause mischief Katie closed her window shut not to take any chanes of getting into a disaster and trying to fix it.

This book made me feel brave and curious, In this story, they go to science camp and Katie switches places with Genie Manzini, the head counselor, They get lost in the woods and after they switch back, Katie becomes braver and wiser, helping the group find their way back, Kruliks writing is both simple yet interesting, keeping the reader engaged, Wendys illustrations are playful and gorgeous, brilliant accompaniment to Kruliks storyline, I would recommend this book to beginning readers, both boys and girls! nice book so far, Katie Kazoo is on a class camping field trip, and switches places with the camp director, who seems like a tough military leader, Of course, Katie is unfamiliar with the camp, so they all get lost, The wind comes and changes Katie into the mean Science Camp counselor,
Good choice for girls, when katie goes to camp she changes into her mean couselor, she doesn't know where to go so they get lost, In this book, it was bad because Katie had to go to the bathroom and so she went behind a tree and the magic wind came and turned her into Genie the Meanie, the camp instructor.
So they were on a camp and Katie didn't know which path to take and she led them the wrong way because there were red ribbons leading the way.
And then when she turned back into Katie, they couldn't find their way back for a long time and they had to sleep at camp because they couldn't find the path.
The next morning, they were starving and George said he had some candies he had brought with him and at first, Genie looked mad, but then she smiled.
He reached in his pocket and then he looked sad because he had a hole in his pocket, The candies had fallen out, but Katie saw a shiny thing and it was a candy and they ate their way back to the campground, What an interesting adventure. Katie Carew nicknamed Katie Kazoo by the class bully always wished that she could be anyone but herself, Now her wish has come true and she keeps turning into other people!
