story taking us to the start of the zombie apocalypse, The author did a commendable job of explaining its origins without getting boring with too many techinical details, Moves at a good pace, pulled me right in from the start and kept me anxious to see what happens next,

instead ofas I found the writing style a little stiff and formal everything was 'I am' instead of contracting it to 'I'm'.
Not a big deal, just kind of stuffy for my preference and what I'm used to in a zombie read, While I understand how tough it is for indies to proofread/edit their own work, I was surprised to find at leastmajor proofreading issues, from wrong words 'thumb' instead of 'thump' to a sentence the author clearly rewrote but didn't accurately remove all of the first version.
Again, not the end of the world like a zombie apocalypse!, just something that might be improved with another look, Otherwise well written and formatted, you can tell the author cares about what they present to the world,

I look forward to the next installment and enjoyed the cliffhanger ending, the author knows how to leave you on the edge of your seat to see what's next! A great zombie read that

shouldn't be passed up.

A solid story of a zombie apocalypse, Somewhat unique, because we're at ground zero for it, I liked the pacing, and the main character was a thoughtful person in an apocalypse, not panicking and making really bad decisions, However, I'm giving it a rating ofinstead offor two reasons I didn't like the ending too abrupt, and the book could have used another bout of editing.
this was your typical zombie type book, It was short and to the point, The story line and writing was easy to read and the ending leaves you hanging as you don't know what happens to the character but it was a good story.
Pamela Stone is a doctoral student working for an obnoxious doctor who runs a cryogenics lab, the bodes stored there are all of uberwealthy people who are being stored until they can be regenerated and brought back to health, The doctor in charge is working on a cure for death, Then one day, she finds one,

I will premise by saying that I am not a fan of zombie books, but a lot of reviewers said this is not your typical zombie book.
And I agree. Basically, I would have normally given it two, but am compensating for my dislike of the zombie genre, I was interested in a lot of the people in the book and found surprises when some became zombies, The book itself focuses more on the world around the zombies rather than the zombies, But, since I don't read zombie books, I don't know what other in the genre focus on! Overall, if you like zombie books, this is a good one.
If you don't, give it a shot anyway,Stars

This is a decent novella that is worth a read if you are a postapoc junkie like I am, The story and the characters are very typical for a zombie book, nothing new to be found here, The best part of this novella is the writing of ML Katz,

I enjoyed this book enough that I will surely pick up the second for my Kindle,
