Catch Hold Of Midnight Secretary, Vol. 2 Crafted By Tomu Ohmi Delivered In Leaflet
girls, and all identities in between, I was not expecting to draw paralells to corporate America/plight of the working class, but here we are.
I'm doing my best to hold off on a full on review/deep dive until I'm done with the whole series only five more to go, so.
. . something for the new year, if anyone out there in the great Goodreads wide open cares, . . Not arrogant enough to think you would, Is it perfect No. But in terms of themes, there is more than meets the eye, I am definitely a fan of this series, I like how there are still mysteries around the characters, though the plot is pretty much set, There are still struggles and I'm sure there are story points that will emerge to add plot twists.
I like the graphics and the fact that this volume like the first did not take too long to read.
I'm looking forward to what other adventures lie ahead for the two main characters, The relationship between Kaya and the Director continues from book, While I know that the culture differences between women in Japan and in the US is different, especially in terms of the role of Secretary I found myself chafing a bit against Kaya's selfless acts and began to wonder if she was becoming nothing but a doormat.
No. She's not a doormat, she's just a very loyal, dedicated and obstinate woman, The Director doesn't know what he has just yet,
Oh as a note this book may be a bit too graphic for those who aren't used to sex in their Mangas.
It's not a "hentai" but there are certain scenes in here that are not suitable for small children this is a 'josei' book and geared toward women who are.
Kyohei's attitude just annoyed me, I understand why he acts the way he did, but he just comes out looking like a unappreciative jerk who gets all possessive when he has no business acting that way.
It seems like he's making a turn around towards the end of the book, at least, so I hope it keeps up This manga series is for mature audience readers only.
Oh my! While the last volume has some mature content this one is much more geared to adult manga fans.
Office, vampire romance here we go!
In this volume Kaya is coming to terms with her feelings for Director Touma.
However when his brother confronts her about it, her emotional turmoil over him causes her to change positions in the company.
Kyouhei Touma sends her on such a roller coaster, He is cold toward her one moment yet desiring her blood the next, I must give Kaya some due credit, she puts up with him and all his issues and still maintains her duties as an amazing secretary.
Like I stated above, this series is ramping up the sexual content, So steamy scenes will occur! I love the artwork and how the characters are drawn, Their expressions and body language says so much into the story!
I must say though that the sexist roles taken get a bit annoying.
The expectations of secretaries, the fact that they are all females and all board members, etc are men gets frustrating.
So I was less than a fan about the stereotypical roles shown of everyone,
Overall, this is turning into an interesting series, Not sure how long it will last, The plot seems to indicate only a few more volumes but we shall see if more depth is presented in future volumes.
I received a review copy from Viz via Edelweiss, All opinion expressed in this review are strictly my own, I really liked the protagonist in the first book but she's begun to really get on my nerves.
The main male character hasn't changed, actually, I think he's gotten worse if that's even possible,

The slow, excruciating build up to their eventual intimacy was SO GOOD.
Its still a fairly toxic relationship, so I dont support Kyoheis attitude and behavior especially if displayed in real life.
Despite the toxicity though, you cant help but root for them even though you know its unhealthy, This series is definitely a guilty pleasure and Im devouring each book in a single sitting! I'm already seeing evidence that the story is being stretched out in a way that I don't like.
Kyouhei Touma is playing hard to get and Kaya Satozuka doesn't give up on him even though he's a complete jerk.
I'm starting to fear five more volumes of this junk with a lastminute resolution,
I do like the art! Great jousei, The two leads get closer in this volume as the heroine realizes that she's in love with the director.
She leaves him to work for someone else for a time, but when she hears he's physically suffering from her absence, she returns.
The end of the volume marks the beginning of their sexual relationship, Hello Gemmies! I have an entertaining new manga review to share with you today, Midnight Secretary Volumeby Tomu Ohmi is the second magna in the Midnight Secretary Series, This was such a fun read that I devoured it in one sitting, and decided to binge the entire series! The cover design is sleek, modern, yet whimsical.
This time Kyohei is front and center,
We continue to follow Kaya Satozuka's story, Kaya has proven her worth as an excellent secretary and professional, Kaya also thinks shes come to terms with being a vampires secretary, and all the extra "work" that comes with that position.
But Kaya keeps getting caught up in her personal feelings, When she overhears Kyohei refer to her as just a meal, it is too much for her to bear.
I like how Kaya comes to terms with her feelings pretty quickly and takes action to remove herself from the situation.
With Kyoheis older brother's help, she arranges a longterm job transfer,
Kyohei on the other hand is in complete denial of his feelings and it makes him act out in even more brutish and arrogant ways.
Some hilarious and seriously steamy scenes unfold as we find out how far each character is willing to go to accept and or deny their feelings.
We also get to meet some new characters and find out some more about Vampire lore in this world.
The vampire mythology laid out is interesting and I hope we get to learn even more in future volumes.
Both the story and artwork for Midnight Secretary Volumeare by Tomu Ohmi, and are really well done.
I felt the style is well suited to the story and very clean and crisp, Now, I did mention this is an ADULT manga, and as such there are adult situations
including sex and nudity.
The sexy content in this volume is increased, . . by a lot. This manga is NOT suitable for children or younger readers, Also, If you find themes like machismo, domination, or retro gender equality uncomfortable, you may want to skip this series.
All in all I had a lot of fun reading Midnight Secretary Volumeand intend to continue on with the series.
If you like sexy vampire romance in your manga read this book! Published by VIZ Media, Midnight Secretary Volumeis available for purchase from all major booksellers.
I give Midnight Secretary Volume, out ofgems, I'm looking forward to reading the next installment, Happy Reading!
Wow, I didn't think Volumecould be as good as Volume, but it really hit it, Even though the FL is super submissive it's the genre right, it's not so offputting, it's kind of a fun troupe to read.
She's working for another person now because the ML pushes her away too much,
But the body wants what it wants and he wants her blood, In this world, Vampires can only consume blood from humans of the opposite sex, so that adds another layer of intensity.
I think I might, binge read this series since I got the next two volumes from local library and yes, my library carries mature manga, who knew ugh! keby som teraz nemusela isť spať ugh! prečo som to nezačala čítať už včera ugh ! !! More of like a.
/ Ill be leaving the same review on volumesas I read them all in one day !!
Quite an enjoyable series tbh, but definitely wont be a favourite.
It was nice to read something more adult for once, though I did find myself kind of getting bored at times as the main character just monologues to herself a lot.
I liked how it started to go in the lastvolumes tho, super interesting, just sad it ended so openly!! This is a smutty manga between a secretary and a Vampire.
This did bother me a little in terms of the toxic masculinity and how the heroine was treated by the main love interest.
But it did have a slow burn aspect that I adored and it was super steamy and sexy.
Just want I needed and wanted when I needed and wanted it, I read allvolumes in one day, If I drool a little is that totally unethical Lol, I don't know why my heart has such a soft spot for japanese animation culture, Seriously. Every drawing in this tells a story for me and I love it! ltSmut smut smut all around.
Thend manga picks up pretty much exactly where it was left off, Kaya and the Director's relationship is continue on it's ever so strange spiral, Of course I can assume where it will go and I want it to go there for sure.
It's the journey my dear, Haha.
At times, my feminist side gets the best of for me enjoying this but I understand that this culture is actually very different from our western culture.
The view on women's and mens roles is, . . well interesting to say the least, I can deal with it given the context and culture, It just confuses me if Kaya is indeed being a good loyal person or just a sick girl bending over backwards for a man who treats her like shit.
I like that the Director does trust her a lot and that becomes very evident, She just knows and there is definitely, in my opinion, more stuff stirring underneath what is in the surface and I like that.
The scene near the end, . . my GOD! I was like, WOW. I am not used to seeing it but, . . hey. Good stuff. I am itching to pick up the rest except only volumewas at the book store, Time to hunt ladies. .
