THREE amp A HALF STARSPelaam does a great job of spinning the classic fairy tale, "Little Red Riding Hood" into a refreshing MM fantasy read in "Red".
The author breathed new life into the fairy tale and made a unique spin where Red and the wolf are mates for life.


Ceron aka Red is the redheaded lead, He's sweet, delicate, hard working yet poor he has two jobs, folks! and just wants to help take care of him beloved grandmother.
He travels through the woods daily, just trying to get by, But alas, the villainous woodcutter, Torrin has set his lascivious sights on the poor Ceron, But have no fear, the alpha Wolven Storm saves the

day, Ceron, ever so grateful, becomes friends with storm and the two develop feelings for one another,

Smells like an automatic HEA, right

Nope!

There's more story to add to that, Ceron is human and Storm is not, He is a Wolven, a human like wolf species, The townspeople are being attacked, no one knows who and there is mutual unrest between the village of humans and Wolven,

Oh ho, is there anyone to save them You will have to read the story to find out, Let me say the ending was satisfying albeit mushy,

The overused "precious", "precious love" and "my beloved" name calling Storm does to Ceron became slightly aggravating as the story progressed.
All of the precious's reminded me of a certain little ring loving creature from a certain famous series, So each time a "precious" popped up, it's Gollum I pictured at times, Way to kill the mood,

There is a near rape scene, so a warning for the more squeamish, However, that brief scene aside, the story is heavy on the romance, And fans of sex while in shifted form might get a kick out this one for the story's lone sex scene,

For a short book the story wasn't bad but the writing was way too flowery for me, I hope to never read the words "my precious love" ever again, Be forewarned: there is an attempted rape and murder of innocents in this, If it is a trigger, be careful,
This was a twist on Little Red Riding Hood and I loved how it turned out, In this book, the wolf isnt the bad guy, He and his pack are the good guys amnd there is an asshole in the village who is trying to take over everything sneakily and trying to rape Ceron or as the dickhead calls him.
. . Red.
Ceron is trying to do the best he can, His parents died of a sickness leaving him to care for himself and his grandmother, If it werent for his grandmother, he wouldnt have made it either, because the doctor refused to treat them anymore with no payment.
But now, Ceron has a job working for the miller and his wife really tries to take care of Ceron with extra food and stuff as much as she can.
The village isnt a wealthy one and they make trade and bargains with the Wolven in order to survive, The Wolven hunt for them as well and use the furs and such to make clothing and jewelry to barter with, But someone is trying to give the Wolven a bad name and run them off, And Torrin, the asshole, is determined to take Ceron for himself, Thankfully, Storm, the Alphas son, has saved him and walks with him daily now to take care of him, The more the get to know each other, and after a passionate kiss, Storm knows Ceron is his mate, But hes scared his father will not accept a human for his mate, When they meet his father, all is well, but trouble is brewing elsewhere, Ceron is taken at his grandmothers by Torrin and his goons, while his grandmother was locked up, Storm gets to Torrin in time to stop him, but his goons get to Storm and are about to hang him, He howls for help, but it doesnt look like anyone will get to him to save him in time, Or will they
I love it when fairy tales are twisted to another perspective, Its nice to see the wolf as the good guy this time and not as a bad guy, Humans can be so evil, so it was good to see that the wolf not have a bad name in this as they are inherently good.
Just survivors. Ceron was just a sweet young man, So innocent but a hard worker and just wanting to take care of his grandmother, He never in his life thought hed find someone he was attracted to as much as he was Storm, With as little as he had in life, he honestly never thought hed have someone to love, He had nothing to offer, And no one knew he had a thing for men, But Storm ticked all his boxes and when it came time to seal the deal, he was all in, He was nervous and scared of course, but he knew he loved Storm with all he was, so that made it worth it.

Its such a good little story, I enjoyed it so much, Im ready to see if another fairy tale twist is next, I like them.

Ceron works hard to help support his grandmother, he works two jobs and visits his grandmother nearly every day, Ceron doesnt worry about the Wolven when he crosses the forest because he doesnt believe that the Wolven are causing trouble like others think.
When he is attacked in the forest it is the Master Woodcutter, Torrin, who is the culprit and the Wolven, Storm, who rescues him.
Developing a relationship is risky as neither Storm nor Ceron know how either of their communities will react, but their love is worth the risk.
And, if the Wolven and the villagers are innocent, then just who is attacking the human villagers and causing problems for the Wolven

Ah the twisted tale of Little Red Riding Hood, with a slight mystery as to who is causing trouble for the villagers and Wolven.
Ceron and Storm make a very sweet couple, both of them are willing to take a risk for their love to be recognised.
After they first meet Storm slowly and gently courts Ceron, easing him into a relationship, they meet in secret because they both know they would face disapproval at first and also because there is tension between Cerons village and Storms pack.
After meeting Storms pack Ceron discovers that it couldnt be the Wolven attacking the villages unless there is a rogue Wolven about, but it causes problems for Ceron when the culprit targets him.


This is a great retelling of an old wellknown fairy tale with its own added twist, the story is well written and has a romantic feel throughout.
The lovemaking between Storm and Ceron is sweet and gentle and very loving and fits with the story that is woven perfectly, the danger they face is unexpected and fierce, and the support they both receive is heartfelt and shows everyone pulling together.
I love how sitelinkPelaam has revitalised this tale with an M/M twist and the way she has given it a twist to the end giving the Wolven a happy ending but still giving it an edge of danger.


I have to recommend this to those who love twisted fairy tales, romance, true love, sweet lovemaking, great characters and a very happily ever after.
A fairytale with a twist, Ceron, known as 'Red', befriends Storm, son of the Alpha Wolven whose pack lives nearby, The Wolven are accused of crimes Storm denies they committed, They must face prejudice for their love, and an unknown nemesis,

Ceron known as 'Red' due to his beautiful rosegold hair, works two jobs to help support himself and his grandmother.
He cannot understand why the local Wolven pack would suddenly begin to attack villagers after generations of living next to his village in peace.
When he is attacked by Torrin, a big, cruel woodsman who seeks to be the next village burgher, it is a Wolven who rescues him.


Storm is the son of the pack's Alpha, and the two men are instantly attracted to one another, Storm courts Ceron carefully, each man knowing that to love the other would meet with disapproval, But their love will not be denied,
However, if the Wolven are innocent, who is guilty Sweeeeet!!!! I liked the fairytale twist to this, The story was a simple one, with a quick courtship and resolution of conflict, Would've enjoyed it more if it'd been fleshed out a bit further and had less "my precious" this or that, ron works hard and visits his Grandmother everyday through the woods, A woodsman Torrin lusts after him and one day attacks him.
Storm a Wolven has been watching Ceron and is captivated by him, He protects him and becomes friends with him hoping to gain his trust so they can become mates,
I found this a very interesting take on the tale of red riding hood, As in true Pelaam style this story is amazing, The world is so well created, the story beautiful and breathtaking and the characters interesting and well developed, I loved the story and highly recommend it,
Recommendations: If you love a modern take on a fairy tale, a different take on werewolves, a charming sweet story with some pretty hot sensual mansex this one is for you.
