Acquire Today Ang Prinsipeng Duwag / The Cowardly Prince Envisioned By Severino Reyes Disseminated As Paperbound
is one of the individual illustrated books that Anvil Publishing, Inc, released to make the reading of Reyes' masterpiece more appealing to children,
All these books have a standard prologue entitled "For Teachers and Parents" and this is what it says about these stories: "The themes of the stories are relevant to their children needs and from these can be drawn lessons, delight and pleasure, and other ways of appreciation of Philippine literature.
"
Let me see how this book fares in my humble opinion:
Theme: Debilitating cowardice is just pathetic
Lessons:
A person's love for his family is even higher than selflove
Cockroach is really disgusting and it is not a question of braveness.
Delight and Pleasure:
Almost unbelievable cowardice of a man that
he shrieks in fear when he sees cockroach on his slippers.
That his wife even has to don a knight's armor on his behalf just to save his face to his constituents.
Other Ways of Appreciation of Philippine Literature:
The illustrations are mediocre,
Overall: What I liked about this book was that the protagonist was able to overcome his cowardice because of his love for his wife.
When push comes into shove, people are expected to put extra more efforts to triumph against all odds, Because of that this did not get a lone star from me, This is just an okay story, Ok
i read it,
