on Everything living tries to get back to the soil

a link to this story by chance, Didn't know what to expect in the slightest and I absolutely loved it, Even after I thought I had a grasp on where it was going, it surprised me, This story can easily be found to read free online with the author's blessing, so give it a look.
How the hell do you rate something like this

It was spooky as hell, I spent the entire reading session with teeth clenched, barely daring to move from one line to the next.
I think what freaked me out the most was the unpredictable changes happenings all around, The sudden and bruising unraveling off all the things one took for granted to give the world sense, And it was done superbly, as I felt each new alteration, saw it with my mind's eye, . . even sensed it in my gut, just like Abraham, Everything changed and it wasn't anything I could have ever imagined,

Given a choice, I'd like the fast death instead of the slow, torturous disarray of the world all around me.
Hey, ignorance is bliss, right,
Disquieting but good. Warning: no romance! Also, available at sitelinkArchive of Our Own, Woah

Well written and compelling,

Fucking words.

How does Domashita Romero takefeeble letterforms and turn them into the best thing I ever read, and yet I remain unable to express how good this work is

I want to sob at the beauty and immensity of it at the same time as I want to carve slices off the author and consume them, so she'll be a part of me.
Or be tranformed into a drifting spore until she breathes me in and lets me piggyback on her every inhalation.
Exhalation.

Yes, I am that inappropriately creepy reader, Domashita did this to me,

This is not an m/m romance, It is a gripping piece of fiction, with two men whom you follow carelessly through hallways of quotidian days to a place of unexpected grandeur.
A stark comingtogether of two observers who have, in the end, only each other,

I may edit this after I have a little cry in frustration/adoration, Gawd! That was something. How the hell does DR do it Seriously this was tremendous, I could see it all, I could damn near taste it,
Just wow. sitelink livejournal. com/. html Light Spoilers Ahead,

Abraham and Red were best friends and when the world is ending they are together to face it.

This is a surreal amp apocalyptic story and not m/m romance, Sure, there are hints that Abe and Red were more than friends, but if it was, it was a long time ago and when they have sexual outercourse it's more about bonding and comforting, and not an act of passion or desire.

this is today,

no less beautiful than it is creepy as fuck,

as far as endoftheworld stories go, i can't think of any i like more than this one.

i fell in love from one heartbeat to the next,

here's hoping you do, too,

and don't forget the champagne, Abraham wiped a bit of horseradish out of his beard with a paper napkin he'd swiped from some fast food joint or another.
He had established quite a hoard of illbegotten paper goods over the years, along with sugar packets, condiments, and other easily pocketed items, before he'd discovered the power of buying in bulk.
Eating a roast beef sandwich didn't merit breaking into the stash of the good stuff, though, so his crumbs were caught with stolen goods.

He took another bite and clicked on another random YouTube video, He'd started somewhere an hour or so ago with something he'd actually specifically intended to watch, but the internet being what it was and all, he'd lost time and all memory of where he'd started, and was now watching a man in a car giving a review of food he'd gotten at Arby's.
Good napkins, Arby's.

Words:complete I can't rate this, it was utterly disturbing and I don't like it, but it doesn't let you go, I didn't know what was going on the firstpages or so and got bored, kept on reading and still didn't know what was going on but instead of being bored I got.
. . a sense of doom. sounds dramatic but it's like being home alone hearing a sound, for some reason you think it's someone trying to break in, or worse.

I had that feeling while reading, it freaks me out a little ok a lot, Two men reconnect after many years, to watch as the magic that stitches the world together unravels,

Disturbing and beautiful, I can't stop thinking about this one, Um, Domashita is great, this has a dark creepy vibe, but I don't get it!
I'm left feeling I've missed the salient points, as though it should come with a lengthy explanation that walks the clueless through the clues.
Perhaps that is the point, This sucked me in and didn't let go until I finished it, Very interesting endoftheworld imagery, sometimes creepy and sometimes amusing, Often with short stories I feel like they need to be expanded to develop plot points adequately, but this is perfect as is.
