A great quick and easy read in clear terms that exposes you tomyths about Celiac and Nonceliac gluten sensitivity, And, it inspires one to take charge of one's health in conjunction with your healthcare provider, Informative
I am relatively new to being gluten free, Went gluten free because it is better for maintaining blood sugar levels, and found out that gluten was causing most of my "bathroom issues," not dairy, Lost ten pounds from the inflammation, Ms. Karr's book provides a lot of information that I was not aware of, and I do a ton of research myself, Very helpful!! As an overview of Celiac Disease it does fairly well, It markets itself as having information not found other places, which is why I shelled out the dollar and bought it on my Kindle, But, any information found in theshort pages is also found in places like sitelinkwww, celiac. com or Mayo Clinic, When I bought it, I did not realize it was onlypages and it was promotional material for a more expensive "program, " I wrote a review of it on Amazon and the author of the book replied "amazed" that I had time to write a review but not time to notice that it was onlypages.
She's right about that it was my mistake, . . but she has my money, I learned my lesson. Just a warning though it is promotional material, The last few pages of the book promote an expensive program, I don't doubt the woman's knowledge of Celiac Disease and gluten, but it was not worth it, Quick read gets you started
