Before long, Rose and Joy face a heartbreaking challenge: What does it take to unlock and free the soul of a defiled woman and as they wrestle for a foothold in Denver, Rose discovers that the long abandoned house given to them hides a dark secret of its own.
MY REVIEW
Although this book kind of strayed off of the Thoresen family, don't get me wrong Joy and Rose are still very much in the story, I still found the book compelling.
It is amazing what Joy and Rose are able
to do for the 'abused' women in that day and time, and such faith they have even when things don't look good.
I like that Vikki has Rose writing in a journal and we get to know her feelings and just reading those entries can encourage a person in their own faith.
I was so anxious to read the next book that I'm half done with it and I'm just now writing the review for this one.
I so encourage you to read this series, it is turning into something I totally did not expect, Not only am I half done with Stolen, which I can hardly put down, I have to purchase the sixth one in the series, Lost Are Found! Redeemed
I so often find a song in my heart when I finish one of these books.
Throughout the author shows Gods love and forgiveness, I do appreciate the scriptures and the sermons I found here also,
I am redeemed. What can I say about this author She is fantastic, I read every book in this series and I want more, Vikki Kestell was a new author to me,and now she is a favorite, The story is worth reading, you will want to read it non stop and get into the next one and the next one, . . It is also a good stand a lone book, but why stop at one when you can read the entire story and history of the charachters
Another great read!
Every story in the series has held me captive.
This is no exception. I find it hard to stop and can't wait to find more time to pick it up again, The house in Denver has been empty and neglected for years and is almost beyond saving, . . almost. The young women seeking sanctuary in the old mansion are as empty and damaged as it is, Before long, Rose and Joy face a heartbreaking challenge: What does it take to unlock and free the soul of a defiled woman And Rose discovers that the upper halls of the old house hide a dark secreta terrible wrong.
An innocent lost. Thank you, Vikki!
Vikki continues to amaze me! Her mixing of characters from other books is woven into a wonderful rich tapestry danger and the triumph of grace.
I am obsessed with these stories, Vikki is mesmerizingly talented. I cannot wait to read the next one, The history and drama in Vikki's books is intriguing, Another excellent book by Vikki Kestell, I love this series. I have been reading late every night, This series of books are my all time favorite and I wish I could give copies of the series to all my loved ones, They show what it looks like to be a Christian, This is the second time reading through them and I couldn't put them down this time either, Vikki Kestell makes her characters so real, you feel as though you know them and expect them to come through the door at any time.
What I love most though is how she makes the Lord the center and the life of these books, The various characters are in different stages of their walk with the Lord some are unsaved, others are new believers, some are mature in their faith.
Through the daily lives of the people we see how the Lord intends for His children to live both during good times, hard times and tragedy.
We're shown how the Lord woos them, saves them, and guides their daily lives encouraging, comforting, strengthening, and disciplining them, We see to the amazing way He is in control of all things, working all things out according to His will, These books will make you angry, make you cry, make you laugh, and make amazed anew at our Lord, They'll strengthen your faith. and make you eager to do more for your Lord, To me, these books are a shining example of Christian fiction at it's very best, Once you start reading this first book in the series, you won't want to stop until you've read them all and you'll still want more! first read series in JanuaryOnce again I couldnt put this book down.
The subject matter can be difficult to read, but there is a strong thread of hope running through this series, Another wonderful faith filled book
