loved the this story, Reggie is currently my favorite Westmoreland, although I seem to say that every time I finish a new Westmoreland story, I love the fact that Mrs, Jackson didn't waste a lot of time for Reggie and Olivia to get together, It was fast paced and straight to the point,
It was nice revisiting the family and I can not wait for Temperature Rising, when Terrance Holy Terror Jeffries falls in love.
I also hope Orin and Cathy either get their own story or they come together in Terrance's story,
I strongly recommend Tall, dark Westmoreland you will not be disappointedstars, I adored this one so much, Its a crossover between Jacksons 'Jeffries' series and 'The Westmorelands' and it was well done and well balanced, I loved the characters so much, Olivia and Reggie had crazy chemistry and I thought they were perfect for each other, I liked that they met at a masquerade ball and had a one night stand and kept their identities hidden, I also liked that Olivia was the daughter of the man that Reggie was running against for Senator, It was all very intriguing, They had to sneak around and keep their relationship on the low, I loved that Reggie didnt care that he was running against father and just wanted to be with Olivia, It was sweet. The ending was cute and left me smiling, I just really love these books, Great love story. Quick read. Looking fwd to the next one in the series, Politically Incorrect
Reggie Westmoreland is the last single Westmoreland male in Atlanta, With a successful accounting firm, he's now ready to throw his hat into the political ring running for the Senate, Things only seem to get better when he meets a woman at a masquerade ball, Masks hid their identities but not their passion for each other, Once her true identity is revealed as the daughter of his political opponent, will Reggie retreat
Tall, dark, Westmoreland just the way I like them! This is the fifteenth installment of the Westmoreland franchise and, like its predecessors, is fueled by fast love, fast lust and romance.
Obviously by the fifteenth try Brenda Jackson knows exactly what works, I particularly liked the aggression of this female lead character Olivia, unlike the other books in this series, "Tall, Dark Westmoreland" wraps up the Atlantabased Westmorelands, I don't know about ya'll, but I'm ready to see what Denver has to offer! I liked Olivia and Reggie, I still don't believe thatpeople can have sex with masks on all night and still not recognize the person the next day.
What about voice familiarity With that said it's a sweet premise though, Two strong characters full of family loyalty and hopeful for something more, Unfortunately being in the public eye will ruin the hope of privacy to develop a relationship,
Even when Olivia tried to end the relationship, Reggie is persistent because he seems to know that Olivia is his future wife.
I liked their story even though if wasn't full of the external struggle that novel tend to have, I think they both struggle with internal beliefs, family obligations and the need to have a relationship outside of sex, All in all a sweet fun read, Loved rereading Reggie and Olivia's story!! Tall, Dark, . . Westmoreland. The book was fun to read, Reggie being the last single Westmoreland not married, He goes to a Masquerade Ball and is captivated by the lips of a woman he knows he must meet, They meet and go to be alone, Later he finds out that the woman who captured his heart is his competitor's daughter, Reggie is running for Senator and his competitor is Orin Jeffries, He finds out at the luncheon that the woman he wants is Orin's daughter, Olivia is just as surprised who Reggie is and decides they can't be together, but Reggie has other ideas, The little affair gets discovered and changes everything about the race to become Senator, Brenda Jackson's a master of the shortform romance, Even in justpages, these were wellrealized characters with realistic emotions and conflict, Steamy without being awkward. There was the obligatory listing of all the previous characters in the series this is, after all, but it was short and not intrusive, and I never felt like I'd missed something because it's been quite a while since I read one from this series.
Well, the last of the Atlanta Wesmorelands has FINALLY found his soul mate, Reggie and Olivia's romance is sweet and sensual, Mrs. Jackson provides another quick and intriguing read while also setting the stage for a the next group of Westmorelands, I can't wait to find out what she has in store for the Colorado Westmorelands, Cute, Short, and very westmoreland lol, This was a good short! Alto, Moreno, . . Arrasador!
On a Westmoreland roll continuing with a book a day, I sure need a novel with a nice happy ending, Okay, so I want to be honest, In my opinion, this wasn't the greatest read for me, Maybe it's because I have been reading books back to back for the last couple of days, or maybe my taste in books are just different.
On to the facts:
There was no excitement, No real conflict, everything seemed too easy, The one true "problem" was predictable and quickly revealed and settled,
Usually I like to read novels with a little comedy, the couples bickering and falling in love, I love moments when you set the book down because you know something is about to happen and you don't want to read anymore because you're nervous about the outcome, but regardless you continue because it is just too good to pass up.
Again, it seemed too easy going, The way they fell in love was far too easy for me to accept, I love spontaneity and rebellion, but I didn't find any,
Well, again, this is my opinion and personal taste, I bought this book because of all the good reviews, If you really want to read it you should because you won't know if you like it until you try, : This is the story of love at first site for Reggie Westmorland and Olivia Jefferies, There is a lot of spice and innocence, They keep their relationship under wraps until they were ready to reveal it to the world, This story made me think of a Cinderella fairytale the lost earring and the woman he must find that they belong to, Reggie Westmoreland and Olivia Jeffries meet at a masquerade fundraiser ball, which lead to a onenight affair, Still not knowing each other because they kept their identity concealed, However, they eventually find out at a political campaign where Reggie and Olivias father are running against each other for Senate, This story was a quick and to the point love story, Reggie says, “love at first sight”, I call it lust at first, all I can say is Reggie was whipped, When he said, “we are in a relationship”, I was like what relationship Even Olivia said it, After one night this man has claimed his woman, It was a good read and interesting, A few twists and turns that did not take away from their love story, This book is one of those stories you read when you just want to read something quick, smooth, and seductive, I think that it could have been more to this story, none the less, I enjoyed this book, I give it aout ofstar rating,
My choice of characters:
Alvester Martin as Reginald Westmoreland
Jordyn Woods as Olivia Jeffries Reginald and Olivia Westmoreland were meant to be! Cute boy meets girl story.
Genia. l esta muy bien y me ha encantado un monton!! WONDERFUL
Another wonderful romance that blends the heart, soul and mind in the ways that truly matters.
the heart. Reginald Westmoreland and Olivia Jefferies' story is as captivating as all the rest, There is nothing to not like about The Westmorelands, The Westmorelands make dreams come true, Typical Westmoreland novel. Giving it onlybecause it was so short, Although we did get to see some of the romance develop between Reggie and Olivia the plot was an after thought, Nice to get back into the Westmorelands didn't disappoint! Thankfully these are relatively stand alone as I'm pretty hazy on who all the support characters are now.
Loving the HEA!! got a little 'Caveman' at random points so couldn't put it asstars, but still nice all the same I really enjoyed this! As other reviews have mentioned, the conflict could have been better but i was so charmed that I didnt care!
One night stand/masquerade turns into an affair where a politician and his opponents daughter
must sneak around for clandestine meetings!
What I loved: Atlanta setting, H is a Morehouse graduate, h is black Roman working in art in Paris, and just soap opera antics.
Reggie fell first like most Westmoreland men and his need for Olivia was cute, Also, some fire sexy scenes,
Just wanted I needed after a reading slump, Listened to audiobook. Great read about romance and love at first site, I'm just as hooked on The Westmoreland's like I am with The Madaris family series, Another good read
Now I can't wait to read the Denver Westmoreland's HEA wonderful
I have become a fan of this author.
I have begun to read about the Steele family and cannot wait to learn more about the Westmorelands, The intriguing and fascinating of the stories than she crafts causes me to want to read more of her works, She always includes one out of character action like the senator being punched by an unlikely character,.stars. The writing, the plot and the sex were super simple, and the book was short, but enjoyable, I had fun and I liked the characters!
