follow up to I Jack, this sequel is not as clever but is still diverting, For young readers or those of us who are young at heart, Jack's second book, so funny! Even though its not exactly a great book its still worth reading, The entire story is told by Jack, a furry, friendly, and sweet if a bit dim doggie who somehow manages to crash the family car, help catch burglars, and help save a woody area from being bulldozed.
Jack describes people and things with words that represent the way a dog might view the world: people are "apedogs", dogs leave "wet messages" on trees and hydrants, clothes are "removable furs.
" While this is humorous at first, it gets old quickly, Frequent line drawings and type set in varying sizes to represent a rise or fall in volume add interest, but not enough to overcome the wearying effect of Jack's "dogspeak.
"

The footnotes from the family cats who refer to Jack as "the Big Stupid" are the funniest and best part of this book.
