Catch The Blue Baboon In The Big Balloon Written By Sarah Mostyn Rendered As Print
story ala Dr. Seuss. My young nieces loved it! I loved this book and so did my daughter, The colors are so vibrant and the illustrations are so expressive they are perfectly aligned with the story, I also feel the rhyming scheme excites the young reader leaving them wanting more, The story is fun and silly and a story that we will continue to fall back on for a quick fun read, Wouldn't you love to go to the moon with all your animal friends I know we would!
I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
A truly heartwarming little adventure! I love the clever rhymes, lively characters and nicely done illustrations! It's a fantastic addition to your child's growing library, I highly recommend it! In a story told in the form of the woman who swallowed a fly we find a blue baboon who lives in a balloon.
Every afternoon they have tea at half past three, Their friend Matt the Cat chases a family of mice that fly kites and eat friend mice, On one of the kites lives an orange mite that likes to fight a troll who wears bright red tights, One day they all get into the balloon to fly to the moon, There they meet Holly and Molly, two raccoons who live in a cocoon and have a friend named Miranda the Panda, They watch cartoons in the cocoon until they hear the moo of the cow who jumped over the moon, Then they go home to sit by the sea and have tea,
Not only is this a wonderful story full of rhyming words but the pictures are bright and colorful and leave so much to share with the child you are reading it to.

The Blue Baboon In The Big Balloon written by Sarah and Steven Mostyn wrote a beautiful and fun illustrated picture book about a Blue Baboon and his Big Balloon and the adventures that he takes with his brother as well about the “people” and new friends they meet and make along the way.
The story is nicely told and in a rhyming fashion, As the illustrations are simply designed with colorful background it does not leave the reader bored or lose interest along the way, Each design when someone new is introduced we get to see what they look like, Also along the way each page, with its rhymes and story of an adventure a foot, the authors did a wonderful job in illustrating the rhymes they presented on each page.
Its a fun whimsical picture book that is fun to read as well as fun to look at,
We all need a little whimsy and fun in are readings especially for children and this satisfies both, so much is crammed in us especially at young age sometimes like any adult a little fun, a smile and whimsical rhyming and fun pictures that tells the tale along the way is just what is needed.
A fun and picture book that is fun for any child and any adult who is reading it aloud, its a modern Dr, Seus.
First let me say what a delight it was to read this book, It was such a hit with my two year old nephew that he had me read it to him twice as soon as we got got it in the mail! It had everything to keep the attention of a little boy and it was fun for me to read to him since the story was really good.

Education:
Now for education, if you have little one learning about rhyming words together and the child has some schooling then this book is for you.
There was so much rhyming in this book that I had to slow down my storytelling pace so I wouldn't mess up, Plus the creativity put into this book was impressive, especially since this is the authors first published book, Also the rhyming reminded me of tongue twisters, So here you have a book for children to practice reading with words that rhyme in every sentience, and the story is entertaining enough to hold their attention.
Pictures:
The pictures were very colorful though a little dark, I wish the colors were brighter so the characters could have stood out a little bit more from the background but by the end my family still enjoyed the book.
My nephew would point at all of the different characters and say what they are and such, He had a lot of fun with this book and if he's happy with it, then I'm happy with it,
Storyline:
Next, the storyline was great and it's
for any child, boy or girl, It had a lot of imagination written in it and it can hold their attention quite well, Plus it was different. My family has a lot of children's book but we have never read a rhyming book about a baboon in a big balloon and traveling to the moon.
It was original and for that the book is a keeper, We will most definitely be reading more books by these authors,
Binding:
Now like all children's books some can be flimsy and this book is a little on the flimsy, Even though my nephew loved the book he is young and I had to keep an eye out to make sure he didn't tear any pages or rip the cover, but for older children the binding should be fine and hold up.
My nephew is only two so he is very young,
So in conclusion this book was a winner for my family, It was entertaining and educational at the same time, It's great children to practice their reading or rhyming and the words are easy enough for children to read on their own, This book will definitely be staying on our bookshelf for a long time to come and my family and I will be keeping an eye out for any more books by these authors.
The illustrations in this book are great, although I would've liked to see them in colorfor some reason the book would only go to my Kindle, but not my iPad.
The rhyme is also delightful, I loved getting to know the animal characters as they set off for a ballooning adventure, Cerulean Papio Hamadryas Operating Spacious Dirigibles
If there was ever a more erroneously named scientific work I would have a hard time believing it, Excuse me while I spend some time tearing this apart,
To start with, baboons are not blue, I'm pretty sure they are gray or brown, How do I know this I saw it in Tarzan, I think. Those were baboons right Whatever, Baboons are NOT blue. And then to think that a couple of baboons could operate a hotair balloon I know apes have been shown to use primitive tools, but a hot air balloon Seriously!!! This would get laughed out of Nature or any other scientific journal.
And then to think that a hot air balloon could somehow achieve escape velocity and make it into orbit Much less navigate to the moon And to somehow perpetuate the notion that anything could live on the moon It's an airless vacuum.
How could a couple raccoons even get to the moon, much less live there inside a cocoon Hello Cocoons are not airtight, What kind of nonsense is this To try and pass this off as a,
Hold on.
What
This is a kids book The name is, . . The Blue Baboon in the Big Balloon It's not a scientific article Then why is the whole thing written in Latin rhyming couplets
It's not I was holding it upside down Ohh.
Umm, I'm not sure what to say, . . Given that it's not a wellresearched piece of scientific literature and is in fact a children's book designed to take you on a fantastical fun journey to the moon and back.
I'm going to have to give it a solid thumbs up,
Delightful book for bedtime reading for my grandson! It contains beautiful illustrations and the story line is easy to follow for young readers! We received this book to give an honest review.
Loved the rhyming in this book, The colors and illustrations went perfect with the story being told, When I asked K what parts he enjoyed and he said all of it, He liked the rhyming of the raccoon's, This is a perfect read for all ages being as it will keep them entertained and laughing at times with what the blue baboon does, Really not much else to write for the review as I do not want to give away the story line, Just get your copy of the book, Beautifully illustrated trip to the moon made fun by absurd tongue twisting verse that will leave both old and young delightfully entertained, Reminiscent of Dr. Seuss, the authors have written similar type stanzas that create a climate of silliness, Funny animals match the refrains of hilarious situations, Certainly this book is a perfect addition to any child's library, .
