many mixed emotions about this book, It's a fast, rollicking read, and laughoutloud funny, It liberally infuses both highbrow and lowbrow humor as compact as this story is, it's worth reading more than once to catch what you may have missed.
If ever a book cried out for a wellcast audio book, this is it, The tension between the guru and the ghostwriter escapes the trap of the onenote joke, which I was glad to see, And there was character development I had not at all expected,

The satire is perhaps a little too well crafted, though, Halfway in I began to feel queasy, Then it hit me. I have been haunted for years by the memory of "The Power of Now," particularly the narration by the author, JP Mac's voicing of Lompoc Tollhaus is so ontarget this book was both traumatizing and cathartic, Ask not for whom the neovibe tolls it Tolles for me,

A fun, quick, silly but not merely silly book, I'm glad I picked it up, This is a wickedly funny look at a "self help spiritual" book author who claims to be a guru, but you find as you read on how not very "spiritual" he is.
At various points in my life I've found myself in the "SelfHelp" section, embarrassingly looking over my shoulder to make sure no one saw me pick up the book entitled "FIND YOUR LIFE'S PURPOSE NOW", or "THESPIRITUAL SECRETS TO TOTAL WEALTH".
Anyone who has been hypnotized by those big headlines, and was able to realize that the book was really filled with a lot

of fluff, then this here book is for YOU! I'm not knocking all selfhelp or spiritual books, some of them are very legitbut there are plenty that are not.
This story is filled with witty humor, megalomania, irony, KEY PHRASES WITH BIG FONTS, and is thought provoking as well, Oh, and you'll be TOTALLY ENLIGHTENED by the end! When I was asked to read the book, "The Little Book of Big Enlightenment," that claims anyone can experience Enlightenment by uttering one simple word, I was honored and felt myself levitate just a little.
After an exasperating week at work, where my ego caused more destruction than I would like to admit, I needed some Shanti.
After reading the first couple of pages and laughing at a few intricately placed jokes, I thought I was reading a book about one Enlightenment individual hatred from another enlightened individual and gasp, I didn't levitate out of my house or even out of my chair.
Complexed and a little confused, I meditated and remembered that during many sacred Native American ceremonies, they purposely have clowns play tricks on people to remind us not to take ourselves too seriously, and I believe that is the purpose "The Little Book of Big Enlightenment.
" Enlightenment isn't a word or phrase but merely the ability to laugh when times are good and when times are hard, I received a free ARC of this book, with thanks to the author, The decision to review and my opinions are my own,

The premise of the book is that a guru has discovered the key to fast enlightenment, but gets his karma all messed up.
While he's recuperating, a writer with a background in direct sales creates the book manuscript from the master's notes,

The master then sees the notes and hits the ceiling, and the publisher allows him to respond to each chapter written by the hucksterhack.
Hilarity ensues. By the end, though, we see a change in JP Mac's formerly CAPITALLETTERHEAVY writing style!!!!! Is it possible he is himself becoming truly enlightened And what do we make of the guru's reaction
