Josh and Cassie they are so sweet together, I liked this book and there was a good twist in the plot.
Intense!
In yet another rockstar tale, this author has written a story of deception, jealousy and crazed fans! I wavered on astar vsstar.
It was good but I thought it was too predictable, The characters were great and written well and, although short appearances only, I especially liked Heather, She was a strong, no nonsense woman I would have liked more of,
Well worth reading! M, J. has a special talent in bringing out the human traits in her characters, So many of us
see the rich and famous as posing, elaborate, eccentric people who live out of touch in the world.
I suppose they put on their pants one leg at a time, just like we do, And M. J. brings that out. She also doesn't hold back, The antagonist in this book is the evil of evils, He is not for the faint of heart, When rock star, Josh, finds Cassie, he finds his home, . . what he's been looking for without knowing he was looking, As usual, M. J. used her magical way of making this love story homegrown real, Way to go, M. J. ! Kudos! Request submitted by author for an honest critique
In the news, you hear about record artists in the same breath as with sex, drugs, and rock n roll.
Therefore, it's no big surprise M, J. featured all the above in this musical love story,
You'll also find Cassie the target of, not one, but two wackos, Jealousy is a bitch and she learned that the hard way,
The plot centering around the nutcases was interesting, Not many stories have multiple villains, However, the rest of the story was just ok, I didn't like Josh and Cassie so much as a couple, Cassie seemed to fall for him too fast and forgave him too easily,
First, she claims she doesn't want to be a "onenight stand" or "only one in a pack of a thousand" but she shags him after catching him making out with a woman after a show.
Nah, I think I would've let him work for my attentions before putting out, Yeah, they had a HEA but still she seemed almost desperate for love,
On a final note: M, J. wrote a catchy song and I'd love to hear a beat behind those lyrics,

M, J. Schiller knocks it out of the park with her latest edition to the Rocking Romance Series, Rock Me, Gently is a sweet romantic story with likable, welldeveloped characters and delicious chemistry between the two leads, The story starts in Vegas, where rock star Josh Dunningham meets the innocent Cassie McCallister who sends him reeling with just a look.
Josh is a love em and leave em kind of guy and admittedly enjoys the sexual benefits of being a rock star.
Cassie has had her heartbroken in the past and consider herself damaged goods, Both are vulnerable and searching for love, which becomes clear as soon as they meet,
There is so much to like about this book, Schiller has a knack for detail, using her words to effortlessly lead the reader right where she wants them, Her descriptions of everything, from the Joshs reaction upon laying eyes on Cassie to his perception of her as a hummingbird, darting from one thing to another or just the simple color of the light pouring out from the kitchen windows is almost poetic in its delivery.
Both Cassie and Josh have a past that leaves both hesitant to trust the growing passion and affection between them.
Despite their desire to protect themselves from heartbreak and commitment, they find themselves falling in love while battling their demons to find their happily ever after.
The chemistry between the two is off the charts and in this day and age when so many authors are going for the “in your face, TMI” approach to loves scenes, Schiller takes the reader through scenes of sensuality where a subtle caress or an inexperienced but seductive removal of clothing leaves the reader breathless.
The secondary characters of Rock Me, Gently are fairly typical, but likable nonetheless, In addition to falling in love, Josh and Cassie also find themselves embroiled in a plot designed to break them up that takes a dangerous turn, but one that, in the end, only brings them closer.
And, in the midst of love and suspense, theres an understated story of the importance of family, whether it be biological or chosen.
If there was one negative that I could point to, it would be the lack of background that led to Josh becoming a rock star.
Theres not much passion in Joshs approach to music other than a song that he writes midway through the book about Cassie, leaving the rock and roll plot to fall flat.
Regardless, Id recommend Rock Me, Gently to anyone who enjoys a good romance,

ROCK ME, GENTLY is a tale of a rock star who gets his world turned upside down when he meets a girl who will change it all.
It has love at first sight, sweet and steamy love scenes and a bit of danger to keep you on the edge of your seat.
Josh Dunningham of Money Back Guaranteed is a rock star, and he has been living like a rock star.
Sex, drugs, and rock and roll all the way, Women chase him, throw themselves at his feet, leaving no challenge left for him, He's getting bored of the same old, and wonders if it's time for a change, His answer comes in Vegas in the form of a beautiful tequila shooting girl,
Cassie is an ad exec, who's had her heart broken leading to trust issues in herself and in men.
She is hesitant when Josh Dunningham hits on her at a bar in Vegas, She is so not that kind of girl, She can admit he's hot for sure, but Cassie is not the onenight stand kind, In spite of her doubts, she follows him up to his room and prepares to have a crazy night of no strings attached sex.
She however loses her nerve and leaves him with a note on the pillow and heads back to her hometown of Chicago.
The first chapter of this book really drew me in I liked Cassie and Josh's flirting in Vegas and wondered where it would all lead.
When she left him. I was stunned. Is she crazy But then we find out Cassie has been hurt before and just doesn't have it in her to do a onenight stand even with a hot rocker.
But little does she know Josh has decided he is not looking for a onenight stand with her, He is actually looking to explore something real with her, something he has never experienced before even with his own parents.
love.
Along the way Josh messes things up with Cassie, he doesn't know how to do emotions, He messes up and then goes above and beyond romance, Pulling the kind of romantic gestures all girls dream of, I loved reading the conversations between Josh and his best friend Ryan when he needs advice on how to deal with his feelings for Cassie.
Their brotherly relationship was really endearing, There are also a couple of other problems that come into Cassie and Josh's way that they have no control over, and that's where the danger comes in.
I have to say I held my breath waiting to see where the author was going with that part of the story.
It was a bit crazy but began to work the more I read,
If you like hot rockers, love at first sight, whirlwind romance give this one a read, It's worth it

Josh Dunningham is a HOT Rocker, I loved this book. I am a huge M, J. Schiller fan. As with all her other books I love her men and Josh is just another fine example of a beautiful character she writes.
I read this book in one setting,
Josh and Cassie meet in Vegas and have the beginnings of a steamy night, Cassie gets jumpy and leaves Josh before they can get to the good stuff, Josh cannot quit thinking about her and Cassie is just as taken with Josh, Cassie has past relationship issues and is reluctant to all of Joshs advances, Josh has commitment issues because of his childhood, Finally they get a good thing going,
Josh is so sweet! When he wants something he knows how to swoon a girl, I loved the whole basketball game scene, Cassie is somewhat innocent but has a fiery personality, They compliment each other nicely,
I love M, J. s writing she does not waste time with her characters they get straight into their relationship and we get to see more of the building of the relationship instead of a bunch of angst that drives me crazy sometimes.
This book filled me with joy and had me laughing out loud several times, Josh and Cassie share funny banter amongst each other, I felt their love and felt as though I was right there with them, This is a sweet love story that is filled with just the right amount of steaminess in the love scenes,
Of course we must not forget that M, J. throws a mystery in her story as well and this mystery did not disappoint at all, I was sitting on the edge of my seat while everything unfolded,
All the books in this collection are standalones, I have read the entire Rocking Romance Collection and I have loved each book, Rock Me, Gently will not disappoint you for a sweet love story, M. j. Schiller is one of my favorite authors, This will definitely not be my last book by her,
Quotes:

He bent slowly in and kissed her not the fast, fiery kisses that usually ignited between them, but deep, tender kisses.
He released his heart with each one, squeezing her in his arms, She laid her head down on his chest again and swayed together, holding on like a lifeboat in a storm,
“You are not just another girl to me, Cassie McCallister, ” Josh
“My gosh, Cassie, You are so beautiful, you take my breath away, ” Her eyes searched his as if the answers to the Universe lay there, “ I think Im falling in love with you, ” Josh
