I wasnt exactly sure what Id find within the pages of Bite Me Im Yours BMIY, but the blurb had me intrigued.
This story tells the tale of a romantically battered woman named Sarah who finds that she has a connection to local bar owner, John.
She knows shes far from ready to rejoin the dating game, but she cant get John out of her mind.
Sarah throws caution to the wind and agrees to a date with him, One date leads to another, and before she knows it, shes dating a vampire, Sarah takes the news gracefully, but living life on the dangerous side isnt exactly new to her.
When her troubled past and a serial killer come to haunt her, she has to survive first before she can explore her relationship with John.

I really enjoyed BMIY, Its refreshing to read about a vampire who just wants to live his life like normal person.
Though John is far from normal, he wants to feel as he did before his humanity was taken from him.
Sarah is that heavenly slice of humanity for him, but loving her comes at a serious price.
Sarahs already dealing with a psychotic abusive ex husband, Add in a serial killer and a strange series of accidents, and you find that loving Sarah isnt exactly easy.
I think what I liked most about this story was the sheer fact that the typical vampire personality and traits were bypassed.
Sure John has a possessive, protective streak inside of him when it comes to Sarahs safety, but he doesnt go full on cave man “Me Tarzan, You Jane” either.
Fans of vampire novels will either love or hate this book, I still more in the middle, As Ive mentioned Johns normalcy was refreshing, but I know others will see BMIY as merely Twilight spin off.
Id recommend this book for someone who was looking for something off the beaten path when it comes to the typically vampire novel.
If you want brooding, alpha male, scary vampires then this isnt the book for you,
This is my first DNF in likeyears, I can't honestly rate this book but the turn off for me was the female protagonist is raped to create more trauma but that trauma is never addressed and the horribleness of it is just glossed over to sexy times soon after.
Personally triggering and the point of it felt very lost, ARC courtesy of NetGalley and the publishers
I liked how this one brings up all the standard vampire myths garlic, mirrors, photos, etc and uses that as a way for them to stay safely hidden in amongst the human population.

a fun filled story with plenty of bumps along the way that kept you guessing.
the pieces all fell into place reasonably easily for me, but it also wasn't blindingly obvious what was going on that it detracted from the book.
Its no secret that I love to read about paranormal creatures, vampires and werewolves in particular.
So when I saw this book on Net Galley, it was a no brainer that I request it, in exchange for a fair and honest review.
I am not always happy with the lighter side of paranormal books, but occasionally one will really surprise me.
I ended up really enjoying the read in this case,

Sarah is an accountant, young, newly single, and very pretty, One day she leaves work late, and gets attacked and knocked out in the parking garage.
John, a vampire, just happens to be there too, and he saves Sarah from her attacker.
She never sees him, so when she wakes, isnt aware what happened, Its not long until she does meet John at the bar he owns, He, of course, knows who she is, but she is clueless about him, She takes one look and wants to know him,

I really liked the two main characters of Sarah and John, John has been a vampire since, was turned without his or the vampire committees permission, and he is not happy about it.
Until recently, he had lived as a hermit, but decided he wanted to rejoin the mortal world, so he bought the bar.
He was seriously the nicest vampire I have ever read about, Normally that wouldnt work for me, but in this case, for whatever reason, it did, The romance between him and Sarah was really sweet, and at times hot, Sarah was just out of an abusive marriage and very vulnerable, Her exhusband ends up being just one of many villains,

This ended up being a mystery as well as a romance, Theres a serial killer operating in the area, and Sarahs exhusband is intent on making Sarahs life hell.
I enjoy a good mystery or serial killer book, and of course a romance, so this book fit lots of criteria for me for a good book.
Top it off with vampires, and I am a happy reader!

All in all, I enjoyed this book, the characters, the world buildingand there is quite a bit actually, and the premise.
Its a light read, so dont expect Urban Fantasy here, I recommend it to adult paranormal romance readers, PureTextuality. com.rounded up to. Sarah is trying to rebuild her life after divorcing her husband, Her husband doesn't seem to understand they have split up and when she is out for drinks she meets John.
John has a huge secret and even though he is attracted and feels like their is something different about Sarah, he doesn't feel he can take the risk.
However everything changes with Sarah and he finds himself wanting to build something with Sarah but the past is trying to interfere putting them both in danger.

This was quickly paced and I liked how John and Sarah come together, Had a bit of angst but I liked the overall story and thought there was a lot of interesting characters.
I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review,

I was looking for a nice light and fluffy fun read when I started this book.
Wow, it is certainly anything but! This is a dark and sometimes difficult book that gives a gritty look at a reluctant romance between a damaged human and a reclusive vampire.

This book starts out just like I wanted it to: there is a human Sarah with some baggage who is trying to get a new lease on life.
Right out of the gate, she is almost kidnapped and victimized, John, the vampire star of this book, ends up saving her and trying to get her kidnapper to confess his crimes at the police station hes a serial killer, by the way.
Everything pretty much cascades from there, John is drawn to her and unable to stop himself from accepting a date with the woman who doesnt remember him.
Sarah ends up pulling John into her horribly abusive relationship with her ex almost immediately, John tries his best to protect Sarah, but it seems like she is just determined to find trouble.
Shes kidnapped, knocked unconscious, raped, stabbed, and thats only a high level summary, If you are at all offended by reading about these kinds of scenes rape, torture, etc.
, this is definitely not the book for you, What I thought would be a light read for an afternoon ended up being something that has almost given me nightmares.

The world that this story took place in, however, was creative and new, The side characters and their back stories were interesting and uniquely developed, If you took away the dark and gritty scenes, this might fit the mold of a book Id easily fall into.
There are vampires and a hierarchy that sets up nicely for a series, I could easily see how there would be
Review Bite Me, Im Yours (Bitten By Love, #2) Authored By Stacy McKitrick Accessible As EPub
a book for each “perfect mate” with lots of good sexy times and a nice balanced relationship in the end.

I didnt know what to expect for this book when I picked it for a review.
I really do enjoy vampire books but this one I didnt really enjoy, Firstly, I couldnt feel the connection or chemistry between Sarah and John, There were also bits that I felt was very unbelievable, Like Sarah doesnt handle her exhusband well but when she gets raped and needs convincing to go to the hospital and the Police she aggressively pursuits John for sex in the next week.
I felt that it wasnt very real at all,

Also the serial killer angle that was really intriguing where the story began wasnt dealt with very well with the characters so when the writer tried to escalate the story it fell apart.

Sarahs character was a bit of a contradiction, Shes supposed to be this push over yet somehow whenever shes with John she becomes this other person.
Shes much more aggressive and pushes on things that normally she wouldnt be pushing in any other situation.

Even though this was the second book in its series it can be read as a standalone.
I just didnt feel excited while reading this and there just wasnt that connection, I felt that to be a paranormal romance it required a little bit more excitement and without John as the Vampire its just a sweet romance story of a tortured girl, even then it was really predictable.

Sarah has finally gotten out of an abusive relationship with her husband.
He just won't leave her alone and is constantly stalking her, Her friend decides to take her out after work one night and she happens to fall for the owner of the restaraunt.
He has secrets of his own, such as . he is a vampire.

This was a whinny book, Sarah was always crying or scared, John was an overly sensitive vampire that needed to grab himself by his balls and be a man.
I could not attach to either one of the protagonist, I actually caught myself sneering at them while reading this book,

I believe the author needs to make sure that her characters are likable next time she writes a book.
Get some feedback, from someone other than family, prior to publishing, This was a cute romantic read, It was a little dark, but the romance was sweet, I really liked the main characters and it took me a while to figure out the mystery, which kept me interested.
Paranormal romance lovers will really enjoy this book! Based on the title, I expected a fun, fairly lighthearted PNR.
Bite me Im yours was not what I expected, its PNR, yes, but not particularly humorous.
It tells the story of Sara, a young divorcee with an abusive ex, who is having an exceptionally shitty week.
One night she is assaulted, drugged and abducted outside a bar, Luckily shes rescued just in the nick of time by John, the owner of the bar, who just happens to be a vampire.
John is drawn to her against his will, and even though she is unconscious at the time of his rescue, she too is inexplicably attracted to him the next time they cross paths.

Not ready to rejoin the dating scene, she still agrees to go on several dates with him.
John and Sara both have to overcome issues from their past, Sara has lost her faith in men and John constantly has to come up with excuses why hes not drinking or can be outside in the light, making their dates difficult to say the least.
What I liked about the novel was the fact that John is not the typical macho alpha male Ive come to expect from this genre.
Instead he is a normalth century guy, sweet, sometimes insecure, protective but without the fiercely dominant behavior that sometimes annoy me.
Readers who expect and demand alpha behavior may be disappointed, though,

A couple of concerns: The world building wasnt all that elaborate, and based on the low number of characters in the story, it was far too easy to figure out who was behind the attacks on Sara.
I know my next concern has been voiced by several other reviewers as well: In the story, Sara is yet she seems to bounce back much to quickly.
That just seems highly improbable to me, even she and John are I just feel that this particular theme has been used a lot.
Authors like Tina Folsom have managed to write more engaging stories with similar themes, And unlike this book, Tina has that humorous aspect that this book failed to deliver, A good story, but not terribly original,

stars.
