actionfilled, and betrayals!

Michael Wallace is an amazing writer, I hated to see the end of this series, This was definitely very emotional, full of intrigue, suspense, and betrayals, There is such a sense of sadness in this book, but emotional growth as well, I hated it when Jacob went against his beliefs and was coerced into taking a second wife, This is definitely a series that is worth reading, I would love to see more of these characters in the future, This review will contain spoilers for the earlier books in the series, This is Book, so you shouldn't be starting here anyway!

Michael Wallace's Righteous series has been full of surprises, What started out as a murder mystery though one with a unique premise eventually became a story of possibly the end of days, What has carried the series through these shifts is the strength of the characters and the consistent themes of faith, family, and responsibility,

I expected Blood of the Faithful to continue in the epic apocalyptic vein of the last book, Hell's Fortress, However, this is a more personal story that is mainly centered in Blister Creek itself, Initially I was disappointed, but as the book continued I realized that this was exactly right, The entire series and our characters lives have been anchored here, and it is only fitting that as the story draws to a close we return to the heart of it all.

Jacob continues to struggle with his role as the Prophet, but is feeling more and more isolated as his support system seems to be falling in to the fundamentalism that he has been fighting against.
As the outside world crumbles around Blister Creek, Jacob's personal life is crumbling as well, Jacob must deal with his spiritual struggles as well as the continuing crises in the physical world,

Michael Wallace provides us with no easy answers, The reader is left to make up their own mind about these struggles of faith, and that is much appreciated, The ending is satisfying, and if this is truly the end of the series it is fitting,

Obviously fans of the series will read this on their own, but as a fellow fan I wanted to assure others that Blood of the Faithful will not disappoint.
stars, and a final thank you to Michael Wallace for such a thrilling and thought provoking saga, I finished the series,

A five star rating for this series, I have never read a series where polygamous families were the main characters, This series was fascinating and the belief system is not much different than that of christians, I also liked the fact that the profit was a doubter, And didnt live on blind faith, I would love to see where the Christenson clan ends up! I feel a little lost! It was great to get the next episode in the lives of Jacob, Fernie, Eliza, and Stephen.
I didn't enjoy this book as much as I had the previous episodes in the series, It would have been good to get some closure, but Wallace left the door open for the next book,

In this issue we see the Blister Creek group living with the post apocalyptic events of a major natural disaster, We learn that civilization has deteriorated to the point of the loss of millions and millions of lives, I enjoyed the entire series, It was interesting learning a bit more about Mormonism too, Now that their latest battle is over, the religious residents of Blister Creek are dealing with their losses and trying to healphysically and spiritually, Their leader, Jacob Christianson, now feels the full burden of the responsibility and finds himself at a crossroads: keep the believers isolated, or see what lies beyond Blister Creeks borders.

In a world still enmeshed in war, famine, and destruction, wool blankets and powdered milk are the new currency, Fortunately, the devout community has made all the necessary preparations to ensure their own survival, But dangerous new challenges rise around Blister Creek: squatters at the reservoir seek to take the residents rations, a rogue government operative is trying to limit access to supplies, and a wave of fanaticism sweeping through the community is threatening to divide the followers.

In the final gripping installment of the Righteous series, Jacob must decide the future of his flockand just how much he is willing to sacrifice.
Excellent ending to the series! They aren't the kind of books that I normally read, but I liked them, I'll miss the characters. I was fortunate to win this book as part of a Goodreads giveaway, It is a solid conclusion to the series, These books got better as the series progressed, This is my second favorite book in the series, The major plotlines are wrapped up while still leaving the reader with some food for thought, The themes in this book and series bring to light the very real past and modern day struggle with faith in doctrinefinding a medium between blind acceptance and outright rejection, finding a way to bring change to what many believe should not be changed, and its use by some

as justification for evil acts.
I highly recommend this book, A satisfying end to the series as Jacob, Eliza and their families face the potential end of the world, . . Slight spoiler alert. I liked the series though it started to lose direction around the sixth book as it seemed like the author was unsure of ow to resolve the fundamental conflict between belief and doubt.
Blood of the Faithful ended the series but did not break any new ground nor really resolve the conflict, which is the main reason forstars.
It was well written and kept my interest, In his afterword, the author explains the series and why he attempted to resolve it the way that he did, Rather than ending it here as he says that he probably will, I think he has set the stage for even more interesting followon stories that could follow certain members Eliza and Steve, the community and region as they cope with the new world and the challenges that it will bring.
He could also explore the tensions that will even more so come to the fore between the polygamists, main stream LDS and gentiles, Received from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review

I wish I had been able to read the other books in this series first.
This was a very interesting book and the writing was done very well, I really liked how Michael Wallace allowed his characters to question their faith and test their limits and boundaries but wrote in such a way that it allowed readers to make their own decisions about faith and how it fits into situations like this.
The characters were welldeveloped and their apocalyptic surroundings were easy to vision, Great read. Can't wait to get my hands on the rest of the series!
