on Homme for the Holidays

is the first story of Cade and Alan and their relationship that I've read, though third in the series by Jonathan Penn, also found in Boughs of Evergreen combined version.
Profits of which go to support emotional and mental health issues for young LGBT people via The Trevor Project, a worthwhile cause.

Although the third in the series, enough information is given to have some idea of the different traumas experienced of their pasts before meeting.

This focuses on Christmas, meeting each other's families for the first time, as well as strengthening of their relationship.
The differences between their childhoods couldn't be more different, . . and reader presumptions may be in for a knock :
Yet, I expect many will wish their experiences with family were as accepting as.
. . read and find out!

Four from me, And maybe I will go read more of Alan and Cade, A story from sitelinkBoughs of Evergreen: A Holiday Anthology

Cade Bishop is finally on the mend from a traumatic event that happened almost five years ago.
That healing didn't really start until last April, when he met Alan Troxler,

Alan has problems of his own, but he's noticed over the last eight months that the more time he shares with Cade, the more easily he's able to put his troubles to rest.

They're traveling together to Asheville, North Carolina to renew a Christmas tradition that was an important part of Alan's past, and to introduce him to Cade's parents one of the few worries he hasn't been able to let go.
I am not going to rate this because I did not realize it was the third book in a series.
I read it as part of the Boughs of Evergreen anthology, I like the writing and the characters, but felt like I was reading the middle chapters of a book.
I think if you have read the first part of the series, this would be a nice holiday followup.
I loved this holiday book as I got to see more of Alan and Cade eight months into their relationship.
These two have really grown and built what they have, Alan is struggling with being home for the holidays for the first time in twelve years, Meeting Cade's parents, juggling what is left of his own family and all the memories of Christmases past have him a bit off kilter.
This time it's Cade who is his rock, I really, really want to see at least one more book with Cade and Alan reaching their HEA.
being brewed A lovely story of Alan remembering Christmases with his parents and meeting Cade's parents,,Part of the sitelinkBoughs of Evergreen: A Holiday Anthology,A perfect short Christmas story with loveable characters,
Alan was one of those men I can only dream of an exmarine who is both rugged and sensitive, and, of course, very attractive.

I couldn't quite get a proper image of Cade, but he seemed a nice and spontaneous guy.
I am certainly intrigued enough to read the first two books as well, and I'm happy about the question mark after 'fin'.
