read the Chinese version of this book and it is so captivating! Or it could just me fangirling over Lady Banica lol This book was okay.
I did really like the "story within a story" kind of narration, I think it added a lot to Mothy's literary style and peeked my curiosity, I also liked the character of Conchita, Unlike Venomania, she seemed very kind and caring and I felt a lot of sympathy for her,

Unfortunately, this is Mothy's novel which seems to derive most heavily from song, Lots of things seemed retconed like the fact that cook in the mansion is also prince of Marlon, Banica's exfiance, her lover and other things I won't mention because I don't want to spoil.
I was fully aware that such a short song is bound to keep something untold, but they are very glaring in novel.
