Unlock The Secrets Of Dreaming In Egypt: The Story Of Asenath And Joseph Assembled By Maria Isabel Pita File Format Publication Copy
was a really interesting book, It is the story of Joseph and Asenath and I am familiar with the story of Joseph from reading the Bible, but I don't really know anything about Asenath.
This book was great at bringing both of them to life for me, Rather than see Joseph as a distant figure in history, this book makes him more real, I've always been fascinated with Egypt, and I really enjoyed seeing the contrasts between the Hebrew people and the Egyptians and the reasons behind them for example, the way they dressed.
This book really made the whole time period more real to me, I listened to the Audible audiobook, which was narrated by the author, This author does a great job at narrating! She had a great voice and gives unique voices to each of the characters in the story.
This is the first book I've ever read by the author, but I will definitely be checking out more, Romance With Depth and Intelligence
When I say this is the best romance story I have ever read, I feel like I am not doing the book justice.
Someone has to invent new words for a book that is written with intelligence and comfortable with the vernacular of the history, I want to say so much to convince you you should read this book because you should, but alas I can only think to say that this book is Flippin awesome.
I loved it you should read it its more than just romance but still about romance, Not clean! Multiple sexual references and a sex scene in the end, I will not be reading this author again, On top of that, I got bored easily in the story, Delicious, accurate, and fun!
A Biblical story not told before, With background and research and heart, Beautiful writing! This book will give you new insights whether you like the Bible or not.
I really liked this book, It was so interesting to get a taste of what life was like back then, Egypt has always been and always will be an
area of great interest for me, I loved how the book was in Asenath's point of view and I was sad when the book ended because I enjoyed reading about her life.
Times like these I wish I could read an account or talk with the real person that went through all of that, I would love to know what she was really like, This book made me really want to watch the movie, Joseph King of Dreams so that's what I did, I enjoyed comparing the book to the movie and appreciated all of the knowledge that I gained through the book even though it might not have all been true just as the movie wasn't all true.
Overall, it was amazing and I want to read more from this author, A beautiful story of Asenath and Joseph, who made a great contribution to Egypt when it suffered through a well document drought, This story brought his wife Asenath to life through her thoughts, dreams and finding God, The authors' knowledge of Ancient Egypt and of the bible mad it worth the listening tom plus that she narrated it herself made it even better since she knew by heart the feelings and emotions of each of the characters in her novel.
This novel is a must read or listen to, whichever is your preference, It was okay. The characters were pretty welldeveloped and the author provided some interesting background to the characters and motivations and described the fashions of the era.
Even though the Biblical story shows the importance of Joseph's dreams, I found the premise of Asenath also having dreams a rather distracting plot.
. . Daughter of the high priest of Re, Asenath is a child when she first meets the Hebrew slave, Joseph, That night her lucid dreams begin as her heart and destiny are forever joined with the extraordinary man whom Elohim, the one true God, has chosen as part of His plan for the world's redemption through the Incarnation.
The untold story of Asenath's awakening to the divine truth through the power of love and dreams gives flesh, blood and soul to the woman Scripture merely names as Joseph's bride.
Maria Isabel Pita draws directly from the Biblical Book of Genesis to tell the story of Joseph from a remarkable new perspective, The Story of Asenath and Joseph is a heartsoaring tale of romance, destiny, dreams, and faith that views the rise of a captive Hebrew from slave to prisoner to ruler through the eyes of the woman who loves him.
