Together, can Liam and Makenna find their HEA or loss all to the need for revenge I enjoyed watching Liam and Makenna become friends, lovers and soul mates.
Liam would do anything to protect Makenna including death, Can she and Liam's friends save him, before it's too late

I absolutely loved Liam and Makenna's story, It was compelling, powerful and enticing, I enjoyed how they each came to terms with their past, their heartache and find their way to a possible future of love and happiness.
Ms. Griffin, has written with emotion, the visualizations so real the reader feel Makenna's horror, her desire for vengeance, and smell the Highland atmosphere, What an impressive Scottish Romance! A must read for fans of Highland Warriors, Scottish romance, Medieval romance, delicate situations, and great reads, Highly recommended! I can't wait to read the next "Legend of the King's Guards" book, This series is such an adventure, I was held spellbound and could not put this title down, Read it in one reading, Masterful and brilliantly written!!

If you want to get lost in Scotlands history this is the book to read, Kara makes her character's come to life, Thank you for the book Kara and giving me chance to review it, Liam of Clan Kincaid is in love with Blayre MacDoughall, the daughter of his uncle, Laird Lenox, his rival clan's daughter, Going against his uncle's wishes, he declares his love for her and wishes to marry her, His uncle feels like his nephew has betrayed his kindness and pledges him in servitude to the Bruce's service as a guard for the King of Scotland and betroths him to his friend Ian Mackenzie's daughter, a young woman worthy of Liam, but Liam doesn't know that yet.
Makenna Mackenzie is a dutiful biddable daughter, always seeking quiet, the total opposite from her sister Roberta who was always about on horseback or learning archery.
While waiting for her uncle and his men to arrive at their keep, the English descend on them and destroyed her village, killing her mother and brutally raping her sister, all the while held captive to witness and hear the brutality.
The last thing Makenna vows is vengeance, . . or she'll die trying.
