I want to BE Phoenix!
This story was such a stimulation of the senses
The Characters both main and supporting were literally out of this world!
Well developed with an intricacy that linked you with each character on a personal level
The main characters were portrayed as strong and intelligent with a side of snarky and a touch of squeezability
and the antagonist OMG I can not remember when someone or something grated on my nerves to the point it actually got my hackles up
The World Building again such creativity and detail that I was easily able to imagine being in the thick of things
I definitely am looking forward to the stories for the supporting cast!
This is book two throat clearing so unlike me, I would suggest starting with book one first instead of going from two to one.
. Don't Judge I liked the cover and failed to see the two in the title
This is currently available in Kindle Unlimited so come on what are you waiting for
All the tasty bits were tasted and all the nasty bits neatly tied up and vanquished in one effortless book to read.

While written in Omni, which is my least favorite POV, she did a good job of establishing the characters, and I think overall the book is an enjoyable read.
The cover is AMAZING, and I got just what I expected,

There is some really good snark in the dialog, and I caught myself smiling with the humor, The author does a fantastic job with dialog, I also like her descriptive voice, and I easily pictured everything happening, Phoenix, the main female character is a strong, kickass vampire and the main male character is strong enough to tame her in bed,

I enjoyed the vampires, werewolfs, witches, Fey and all the other beings in the story, and I thought they were introduced well, There was lots of intrigue and political jockeying, The sex scenes were done well, I think they were a little short with not really enough time to get emotionally involved, but there are some steamy things happening in The Great King.


I give The Great Kingbecause it needs an edit by a fresh set of eyes, There is a lot of weak word choices, redundancies, and repetitiveness that could be weeded out with a good edit, This was an enjoyable read, but I feel like it could be so much stronger,

I can honestly recommend this book to anyone who likes vampires with a healthy dose of war and love, Once again I have found a good book in this story, I found it hard to put it down until the end,
Great Fantasy Romance!

If you are a fantasy romance reader, this book has it all, Fey, vampires, dragons, fighting and fantasy realms round out the story world that Author Samantha Lee has created in her King Series, I easily was caught up in all the action and the intrigue in The Great King and thought the characters were wonderful! Dimitri is a strong king and Phoenix is the heroine strong enough for him in return.
Really enjoyed this read! I am hoping there will be more to this series, The characters are well developed and we see their flaws and strengths, I really liked how the battle was written, it was not drawn out with blow by blow, The story is great.
