An admirable book, A great book for young ones about an inspirational woman, This is a very basic book about why we should look up to Michelle Obama, As with the other books in the series, it doesn't really tell who she is or what she's done, Board book that introduces kids to Michelle Obama, and the concepts of eating healthy, studying in school, and working hard, I definitely want my kid to know about Michelle Obama beyond her role as Mrs, O on Waffles and Mochi! but the images dont look like her and I didnt love the flow of the text interspersed with quotes I know board book biographies have a hard job because they must be so short.
Theres a Shana Corey early reader about her that looks promising to try instead, Also MOST of the illustrated bios of her for kids feature portraits that dont look like her, Its very strange. Wasn't to impressed with the story, I love Michelle Obama and feel like she is a great example of someone who values education, hard work, being kind, and living a healthy lifestyle! Awesome book! If you can see it, you can be it! Introduce your child to your role models with this series of inspirational board books.
