love this book! One of my favorites in the IR genre, Im kind of sad they never returned to Marcuss time, I cant help but wonder about all the people and his clan he left behind, Just WOW!!!!

I have always been a fan of Historical romances and this was a perfect mixture of both genres, These two were perfect together and I loved how it all came together, A Knights Vow was a slow burn and well written story, I loved every minute of Kit and Marcuss love journey! Kit was fierce and strong but also vulnerable while Marcus was an Alpha male brought to heel by his love for Kit.
This was one of my first IR's and it was Excellent, This was the first book I have read by Aliyah Burke and I have been hooked every since, i started this book one day ago and just could not put it down, so i stayed up untilam to finish it, this is a book i could reread again and again, would love to know more about the horse and the time travel Good story, I liked it. Needs better editing however I don't know where to begin, I made it to pageof this book and had to stop,

I like Aliyah Burke, so when I saw all of the great reviews for this book I searched everywhere for it, I got it used fordollars,

This book is a time travel story about a black woman, Kit, who is transported back through time toth century England, Let's start with this: Kit breeds horses, speaks eight languages and participates in capoeira, a Brazilian martial art, competitions, What doesn't she do

There is a very strange scene where Kit goes camping in the mountains

with her horse and Marcus, theth century knight, rides up on his horse.
There must have been a rip in time that had something to do with all of the fog, There was a lot of fog,

Mountains Fog Time portal,

Anyway, Marcus wants Kit's amazing horse, So, Marcus sets up to throw a rope and lasso Kit's horse but Kit takes a rock and throws it with such precision that it hits Marcus' wrist, making him drop the rope.

Wait just wait.

This is where the real WTFery begins, Kit tells her horse to run and what does the horse do The horse jumps off of a cliff,

Stop. Did the horse just commit suicide

Aside from the ridiculous plot, the editing in this book is atrocious, What really bothered me was Marcus' vernacular, He's ath century knight but he says things like "No way!" and "You've got that right!", Those are notth century colloquialisms,

I made it to page, DNF.

Fun!.This is an interracial time travel BWWM, The time periods covered, fromst century to theth century England, was something new and daring for me, I think I have read no more than three in this vein, Therefore, this was a definite plus IMO! I just loved the fact that the heroine is a very strong, intelligent black woman, who is more than a match for the strong Alpha male hero.
The heroine's color, manner of dress and demeanor were all issues, in particular, that obviously had to be addressed in the book these issues and others that were specifically relevant tocentury England were skillfully dealt with, without ever overwhelming the story or bogging it down in neverending minutia.
This was a great read, What happens when ast Century woman gets transported back toth Century England She butts heads with her 'rescuer', That's what. When Kit wakes in the past she has no choice but to go with the knight that stands before, The sword at her throat determines that, With absolutely no idea on how to return home, Kit will be called upon to use every bit of strength and love to stay alive long enough to do so.
Even with Marcus' help it might not be possible, Will these two lovers find a way to be together for all time Can Kit trust that once made, it will never be broken Perhaps, It is after all, A KNIGHT'S VOW, This book was about a womans trip to the past to find her future, and i loved it i can't wait to read something else from this author.
It has renewed my hope in future reading because to be honest i had almost given up, Wasnt the worst book Ive ever read but definitely far from the best Ive read from this author, The concept was good but wasnt executed as smoothly as it couldve been, I found the dialogue was often out of order, as in, the sentences they were saying didnt flow in a way that a person would normally talk.
Idk. Im sad I had high hopes.
