What they fail to mention is that it was Cates idea, not Tristans, to be secretive for the good of his career and she wanted the pregnancy.
He actually wanted to reveal their relationship right away, and she stopped him, She was never unhappy with any part of this arrangement, and theyears is a mere flashforward at the end of the book, not plotted out.
As soon as his Presidency was over, he made their relationship public, Cate was also never hidden in a closet, They shared a sex playroom in the White House, which was private for obvious reasons, END OF RANT

Readers either like these books or they dont, It isnt fair to mischaracterize what actually happens in a book or judge it based on not playing out ones own personal preferences, by projecting those feelings on the characters.
This couple loved each other, they had an unconventional romance with an unusal twist and made it believable in the context of the book.
All JKs books are the same basic blueprint, very sexual, and superficial just a different situation, like this one.
Theyre a great read for a horny mood, but if youre not onboard the “daddy” train, and think controlling alphas who say demeaning things as dirty talk are offensive especially since the eager virgins dig it then look elsewhere.

it was a huge overreaction to keep their relationship secret just because he was president foryears, if the US can have a president who's friends with pedophiles and openly supports nazis without him being kicked the fuck out of the white house, im pretty sure the hero and heroine could've announced their notactuallyillegal relationship without any actual consequences.

sidenote: he chose to run for president TWICE in a row wow, okay, personally i'd be fucking fine with just four years as president if it meant the woman i love wouldn't have to wait around for another four years but that's just me.

This definitely reminded me of CommanderinChief and Mr, President by Katy Evans, which is one of my favorite books! I didnt like that he kept her a secret for so many years.
I know it was in the title, but they had a child, How cruel would it be to never be able to hug or acknowledge your father in public, even if he is the president.


Cate was sweet, but a bit onesided and a totally pushover, Tristin was a very unique character, but I think that he could have been way better,

Overall, this novella was super hot, but very shallow,
