Pick Up Conspiracy Theory (Quincy Harker, Demon Hunter #19) Imagined By John G. Hartness Available In Paperbound

and several inconsistencies from the previous book already,
Captain Herr, who Harker just met in the previous book is treated like a longtime compatriotPravesh was outed as a naga, now she's a lamia, the deal with Mort was for driving his body forhours, in this book it's now for a weekend.

All those aside, it was still a very good story in need of a consistency editor There are rogue government agents hunting supernatural creatures all over Charlotte.
There's a bloodbath in the parking lot of a demon bar and a massacre at a shopping mall, There are protests and tear gas and riot cops and somehow Quincy F'n Harker is the one stuck in the middle of cops, monsters, and DEMON agents trying to keep them from tearing his city apart.

And now there seems to be a traitor in their midst, Couple that with the revelation that Harker's guardian angel might have an ulterior motive, and you've got a web of deception and intrigue that can only be CONSPIRACY THEORY.
We need Harker

In my opinion, this is the best Harker novel to date, One of the best things about urban fantasy is that when it is grounded in a reality we know it becomes that much more real, More visceral. In this latest installment that is true in spades, Hartness takes his frustrations with currentrecent injustices and funnels it into this novel in an incredibly powerful way, One would have to be willfully ignorant to miss it and utterly heartless not to be moved by it,

In Conspiracy Theory the Shadow Council finds themselves fighting a big bad unlike any they ever have, One that is deep seeded and nigh intangible, Would that we all find the strength they do and willingness to fight for right despite the odds or cost, WOW JUST WOW!

The end will definitely leave you going "Oh Sht! Now what", So many twists and turns but all with " I'd" flare! Well

One thing you can count on from a Quincy Harker book is loads of action.
Another thing you can count on is an explosive ending, This story delivered on all fronts as the Shadow Council are dealt some harsh blows, CONSPIRACY THEORY continues the storyline of the corruption

of government agency DEMON, I really liked its use in the previous book and while they've managed to recover Uncle Luke, Unfortunately, the organization has managed to turn Cryptids and Police against one another while engaging hatred everywhere, I am glad that they toned down the use of Nazis though, That seemed in poor taste, I am interested in the Glory plotline, though, and hope we get a resolution by the next book, Yikes on bikes!

Holy freakin plot twist, Batman! Did not see that ending coming, Did not see that at all, Deeply grateful that I chose to wait to read this until the next book was already out because waiting for it might actually have killed me.
Another great installment

I have loved every book in the series and this latest addition does not disappoint, It provides some really interesting new story lines that the author could explore, I look forward to them, Just what this Supernatural fan who loves action and fight scenes needed, The latest installment in the series is fast, action packed, and a hell of a lot of fun! Cant wait for the next one, Harness never disappoints!

You will see Quincy and the Shadow Council evolve in the most unexpected ways!
You will read until your eyes burn.
Quincy and the team return, as the hunt for the mysterious Director Shaw of DEMON continues, Another good character driven story, which finds the team stuck in the middle, against all comers and from within, This Quincy Harker gave me chills, and not for the normal nonstop action which is here or the monsters which is here or the magic which is here.

It is the tornfromtheheadlines topic of police excessive force during demonstrations in the Charlotte area, I think Mr. Hartness wrote this novel either asa therapy session for what happened in Charlotte in Juneora reminder of what happened so we never forget those who protect may need to be protected from when they go off the reservation.

Thing is fiction has to make sense and the Juneriots didn't, The shooting with paint balls to the face deadly on normals make sense against a glowing and invulnerable Quincy Harker, The making people disappear in prison, Police having military level weapons and tanks, The shutting down of peaceful memorials and then herding the people into a killzone they could not escape while having tear gas launched at their bodies not at the feet and being hit by rubber bullets.
All of that has to make sense and build with the story and the author does this,

I wish the same could be said about the same actions which happened in real life, It been nearly two years and I still remember the horror I felt watching it all unfold realtime on people's cell phones,

Never forget.

At the same time, the author does a good job of showing that the protectors, police and federal government, also are good guys, The badge on the cover with the black stripe explains the respect and sadness shared over the loss by our men in blue,

As a fictional story, Conspiracy Theory works within the greater history of Quincy Harker and is actionpact demon hunting goodness for the Urban Fantasy fan.
