on Kansas City Christmas (The Precinct: Brotherhood of the Badge #4; The Precinct #10)
last book about the four brothers was just what was needed to end the line, Fast action, amazing thrills, and just enough romance to keep me happy, The conclusion to The Precinct: Brotherhood of the Badge books, where the Kincaid brothers' a family of cops father's murder is finally solved.
I really liked heroine Holly Masterson, She was a medical examiner, smart, and a takecharge kind of gal, Hero Edward Kincaid was just okay, He was a widower, and while I can sympathize with him in his loss of his wife and child, he lived too much in the past, wallowed in his grief, was dreary, and just seemed boring.
And I hated his nickname for Holly"Stick" because she was tall and thin, For the most part though, I did enjoy the story and the suspense and action, but by the end I was a bit disappointed in the outcomes of the mysteries of Edward's father's killer and Holly's stalker.
At his fathers funeral in April, Edward Kincaid promised his mother to recover his fathers KCPD badge that wasnt discovered by the body, now, eight months later and eight months sober he enlists the help of a spunky, longlegged, sticklerforrules M.
E. , and together they embark on a perilous journey to finally find his fathers killer and heal Edwards heart

This was the fourth and final story in this series about four Kincaid brothers trying to make sense of their fathers murder, find his killer, and bring him to justice.
It started with Edwards heartwrenching memories in the prologue, continued with a suspenseful oomph and lovely romance interspersed with a little more heartwrenching memories and moments, and ended perfectly with Edward and his family coming fullcircle despite everything.

I absolutely loved Edward and I found Holly a fitting mate for this stoic, taciturn, brooding, scarred inside and out epitome of a romance hero.
There were a few funny moments to lighten up the mood involving Holly and her exuberance about the Christmas season, and even though Edward couldnt care less for the season thanks to his world almost ending on Decembertwo years prior, he couldnt help but lighten up and heal a little thanks to Holly.
And when he finally said the words "Merry Christmas" in the epilogue sniffle sniffle

The suspense plot was masterfully done, revealing the fact the red herring from the previous book was indeed a red herring of a different kind, and I fell for it.
Shoot. I was right from the beginning and kudos to Ms, Miller for making me doubt my gut,
Anyway, the pacing was wonderful, the buildup intriguing and gripping, and the scenes with the two villains had a little of a thriller mood to them, bringing us to the tensionfilled finale.
shivers down my spine

A great story indeed, She Sought Solace in a Silent Knight in Order to Save Her City at Christmas

A detective with no badge, Edward Kincaid's brooding nature scared medical examiner Holly Masterson, but couldn't dim her holiday spirit.
It was when she attracted a stalker that the most wonderful time of the year turned into the most frightening, Working together to reveal a conspiracy too many people had died covering up, Holly found Edward's protection and powerful embrace hard to resist.
Now, as new clues surfaced, could she bust the case wide open and give her silent knight the Christmas miracle he deserved

I loved it! I really felt like I was Holly, I am like her in so many ways.
It was so cook. I felt like I was inside the book, I love "Julie Miller's" books! they are awesome! I and I love her new series that's out, I am gonna start on APB: baby this weekend, And this is it. After four books of love and pain and suffering and mystery and hurt and passion, we've come to a close, I'm so emotional. I knew Edward would make me cry the DAY Sawyer saw him and described him at their father's funeral, My man has suffered so much but still emerged victorious, He's living life now, instead of just surviving it, My sweet SWEET man.

John and Susan raised some bomb ass sons, Each one is a better man than any I've ever known, They're so fucking loyal and just and amazing,,,I love each of them to pieces, The Kincaid clan feels like home to me now, My own little family spread acrossamazing books, A great escape from the every day, July
Reread.
I still like this author's writing style as well as the character and story development, I think it's time to come back to this series and read the other books as well, Even though these stories are a bit shorter, they function well and are gripping, I loved this book. Loved it. It's an excellent example of what a Harlequin Intrigue novel should be: intense, emotional, romantic, and filled with tension from the first page to the last.
I instantly fell for Edward, He pulls off the wounded hero thing so well that I couldn't wait to see how he came around to Holly and accepted her as well as her love.
Although I was a little disappointed with the stalker storyline it seemed tacked on and wasn't really explained, that was a minor glitch in an otherwise flawless romance.
Miller's entire BROTHERHOOD OF THE BADGE series is worth reading, as each book is better than the last, I liked the story just fine, Murder mystery, romance, Christmas. Somebody would enter the story, or something would happen amp the book would leap off into a big explanation of what happened to get us where we are.
Just annoying. Edward's story broke my heart and his journey was uplifting, Amazing what the help of a good woman can do, And while I wouldn't say the conclusion of John's case was surprising in any way, I did find it satisfying, Annoying

Holly was just annoying, I had to skim over parts of the book so I could just finish and be done with it, HI.This holiday romance had a good plot and plenty of action that moved right along but the hero was still so weighed down by all his tragedy that it didn't feel like he was ready for a new relationship.
It was set at Christmas time but not a lot of holiday

activities included, On leave cop Edward works with medical examiner Holly to try and figure out who killed his father, This book is fourth in a series, but since I hadn't read the previous books, I was a little lost at times, Love this story

Edward is a widower and because of his loss, he's an alcoholic, He is also an ex cop, but after his father death he has made a promise to his mom which leads him Medical examiner Holly Matthison.
