one is pretty similar to the others, but I think the nuance of the twist would be lost on a beginner reader, Biscuit is back and in this book he is eager to make friends with the two new kittens!

At first the kittens really don't want to play with him but after Biscuit helps rescue them from a tall tree, they soon become best pals!

A sweet story to help little ones realize it may take time to make a friend but it definitely worth it.
I like playing too. William saw the picture of this book at the back of several of his other Biscuit books, I just couldn't find it at the library, so I bought it for him, Exactly what you would expect for Biscuit, Simple text, cute pictures, little peak in the plot near the end, Biscuit Wants to Play is a book about a curious young puppy with a big heart, He discovers some kittens and only wants to play with them, At first, they are not in a hurry to play with Biscuit, but once the kittens get into trouble Biscuit comes to their rescue, The illustrations really help the reader connect with the innocence of Biscuit just wanting to play with the kittens,

This book puts into perspective that even though cats and dogs are not supposed to like each other they can get along, To put this into a more realistic point of view, even know you may not think you are going to like someone you still need to get to know them before you make that judgment.
This is a very good message to relay to children because they need to know to not judge a book by its cover, Get to know someone before you make that assumption,

This would be a great book for beginning readers to read in a literature circle or even in partners, After having the kids read the book have them talk amongst each other about what the book was about, and what their favorite part was, If you do a literature circle idea with this book it will get the kids thinking a little more in depth about the book,

Biscuit Wants to Play has a lexile rating ofL this would be a good read aloud for kindergarten or first grade, and students should be able to independently read this book by beginning of first grade.

My students are mostly checked out this book, Nice read! Biscuit meets Daisy's two kittens and is eager to play with them, They don't pay much attention to Biscuit until he comes to their rescue, Another enjoyable easytoread Biscuit story, The illustrations are adorable. The story is a bit repetitive so might not be for every reader, If they're obsessed with puppies and kittens, it might be all they need to enjoy the read,

My boys like stories about animals, so Biscuit is a hit with them! They are short enough and easy enough to read that it doesn't get too boring for them to read.
They love the animal sounds such as the woof, woof or meow on the pages, They had to repeat right after me! SUPER FAST REVIEW:
Okay so unfortunately Chloe my dog didnt seem to care for this one as much as the previous Biscuit books.
. . she growled at Biscuit playing with the kittens,
I personally loved it though!
The story is adorable as always, I love the artwork, its surprisingly suspenseful towards the end, I still love the characters a lot and the ending may be the sweetest thing Ive ever read.

Yeah I highly recommend this series, its so cute!

/Biscuit, a cute puppy, wants to play with two little kittens, but they ignore him until they need to be rescued.
Very simply written for beginning readers, Pretty illustrations. I love the Biscuitverse. Everyone is cute and round and fluffy and nothing hurts especially in this one, which has twokittens!
Also, they're great for emergent readers, That's probably important too. These are great in teaching my son to read, I read this to two preschool classes, Both classes were adamant that Biscuit would not want to play with kitties, They also were sure that Biscuit was going to climb the tree to help the kitties get down, It was entertaining. For fans of Clifford and Spot, welcome everybodys favorite little yellow puppy, Biscuit, in an I Can Read adventure!

When Biscuit meets two little kittens, he wants to be friends.
He wants to play ball and run around, But the kittens are having too much fun with their own games to play with him, Biscuit doesn't give up, though, and soon the kittens find out what a good friend he can be,

Biscuit Wants to Play, a My First I Can Read book, is carefully crafted using basic language, word repetition, sight words, and sweet illustrationswhich means it's perfect for shared reading with emergent readers.
Cute little story about an exploring puppy and kittens, It's a really fun book, I like its cover and its back, I like the pictures in it, I like its title. Another addition to the Biscuit series this time with kittens!, Repetitive words and corresponding illustrations are great for an emerging/beginning reader, I don't know what it is about these books, They are short, simple stories for beginning readers with adorable illustrations, but they make me twitch, I think it's the fact that there's a "Meow" or a "Woof" on every page, It just irritates me, but our girls seem to like it, We read these books together and I encourage them to read as much as possible, Alyssa Satin Capucilli was born in Brooklyn, New York, in, She graduated from Sarah Lawrence College, and pursued her interest in dance, becoming a professional dancer and dance instructor, Though Capucilli had written stories, poems, and even puppet shows as a child, she didnt consider a career as a writer until after her own two children were born.
