The book uses illustrations to assist in describing each of these weather conditions to younger readers who are beginning to learn about them.

Although the book is an informational text and is a slight bit dull, it provides an acceptable amount of information for young students trying to develop knowledge in this field.
Also, the illustrations are pretty engaging and help the reader understand exactly what each weather condition brings,
There are two uses for this book in my classroom, The first would be that I would have my students do a small research project on their own and in class in which they would look up where and when one of these weather conditions had occurred hurricane, tornado,

blizzard and write a short paragraph abut the details of the event.
The second would be that I would have my students draw a picture of one of the weather conditions described in the book and write a few describing sentences about what it brings, what it can do, and how people deal with it/prepare.
