Once the central character acknowledges his own self worth and gets the girl, what else is there

I guess the story could continue from Maki's perspective who is teetertotting on a bromance/boys' love perspective at the moment.
Even his character is set on rails, Unless he decides to come out of the closet and his story follows down a boys' love path, I'm not sure how much you could get out of him.
