    I love this book but.. this is a collection of photos taken by a train enthusiast rather than a fan of graffiti, the photographer even admits this in the book, he was def not a fan. As a result the photos are less graffiti trainy if that makes sense, the front cover is a good indicator of the type of photos in the book, one piece is slightly visible the rest fade off in the distance, after a while it gets a little boring looking at the same viewpoint of a train with graffiti that you can’t quite make out. That being said it is very interesting stepping back in time and seeing old New York and who doesn’t love a subway carriage!!

    First off, let me just say, I like the old NYC graffiti on subway trains. If you are looking to see old NYC subway graffiti photos, there are plenty of other books that would be better to spend your money on. This book is of a collection of a train enthusiasts photos instead of a graffiti enthusiast’s. Nonetheless, it does have great quality pages and photos, however mostly from the same angle as you see on the front cover. Sometimes you might see a wholecar but its 3 or 4 cars down, and you wish you could make it out but just cant. If you are a fan of the old trains from that era, this would be a good buy for you, but as a fan of graffiti, I do not think this book is worth the price.
