The beginning of what looks to become another great series of books from Joseph Delaney. As with his other books, the main character is interesting and engaging. As a reader I wanted to now about this new evil, the shole, and its potentially dangerous occupants. I look forward to the next book and learning about what's in each room.

The Beast Awakens book 1 was awesome and brilliant, I have read most of the books that Joseph Delaney has written and have loved everyone. This is another brilliant book by the author and looking forward to the next one. it is worth reading if you enjoyed his previous books.

This book is great! Just as good as every one of the Spooks books. Joseph Delaney has been one of my favourite authors since I was a kid and I still absolutely love the books. As always though I wish the books were longer, I always finish Joseph Delaneys books in around 4 hours as I simply cannot put them down and then it’s a long wait for the next one.

I have read all of the Joseph Delaney's main book series (Wardstone, Starblade and Arena 13) and this new book greets its readers with Joseph's familiar and very readable style of writing, I got through this book in two 2 3 hour sittings and found it very hard to put down. The story is fresh and different to his previous books. Well worth a read if you are a fan of his writing style. Wish his books were a little longer, but at least he churns out new ones ever 6 12 months.
