upon a time there was a guy who was a perfect example of geek, If you were to search the dictionary for geek you could probably find the picture of the guy, Along the definition of course, The guy was however someone who had been searching for The Truth, The older he got the convinced he were there had to be a missing ingredient in the soup called Cyber Security, Which were kind of a strange thing, So many cooks had been stirring and seasoning the soup, it had been cooking for ages and still it wasn't tasty, nourishing nor satisfying.
If something had changed the soup just had got harder and harder for community, People, to swallow, Could it be a missing technique or missing some new, interestingly tasty in a
geeky way seasoning Perhaps adding a new device to the process of cooking would improve the end result At least the shiny new device would be pretty to watch while cooking the soup Making the process of improving the Cyber Security Soup interesting for a whileAs time went by the hero of the story grew to be sure there had to be another view, the Perspective, to the troublesome Cyber Security Soup.
He had learned great wisdoms from the Group of Smart People, They had been telling amazing things of how to treat people, that they were living and breathing things, not machines, That they had feelings, instinctions and learned habits and truths, Which were at least partially things which made people to act like they do, Not by the rules of the geek but, as they said, like Humans, The strange thing referred as Psychology in their language, This, kind of bothersome, idea started to cook in the head of the geek but the recipe was far beyond the current skills of the geek.
Could there really be some potential in this idea, to magically turn the the so far ugly, and truthfully bad tasting, Cyber Security Soup in to something better Which the great Crowds would taste and shout shrilly This is so good, we want ! Flavours are nice, this is easy to swallow.
Now we do understand! Could all this be possible just by using some softer elements and softer flavours Could it be possible the hero of the story could learn something new beyond geek skillsSo while being a geek, doing geeky stuff and learning new geek skills the hero of the story kept reading wisdoms written the Great People who understand the humanity and the human factor of the Cyber Security Soup.
No matter how much he ate this new food for thoughts he just got hungrier, All the suddenly everything felt so much clear, There indeed had to be a life beyond the geekiness and geek skills, Geek stuff only had been able to take the Cyber Security and the hero of the story that far, It was time to explore the path further, Now on the road again heading into new adventures in his search of the Wisdom, The hero of the story is starting to think like a Human, being at least momentarily aware that he is just a human as well, nothing , nothing less.
Still greatly enjoying to be able to do geeky stuff and learning new tricks, At the same time being increasingly aware of the fact that he must treat People like he would like People to treat him.
I must admit I have been a great fan of good stories, There just is something magical in well written stories, In the days gone by I was somewhat creative when not doing the geek stuff, Creating something I liked to call art and there apparently were some folks thinking the pieces were art, At the time I used stories to paint the scene behind the pieces and sometimes used the pieces to reinforce and complete the stories.
At the time someone who obviously wanted to flatter me used the term renaissance man while referring to me, Apparently there is the spark of creativity still deep in there as the The Story Factor really got me thinking and those creative juices to flow again.
To me all the great tips and information the author is sharing really makes sense, Even though you may not feel like it immediately I really think you should read this book, For most of you who communicate and try to deliver something to other human beings this sure gives some valuable thoughts and ideas.
Perhaps even lights the spark you thought you had lost, Or wasn't aware of it in the first place so far, The power of a good story is tremendous, C'ets mon livre de chevet, je l'utilise pour repenser mes conférences et les rendre plus inspirantes Excellent book and inspiring I wrote yesterday to the author to complement her on this insightful overview of storytelling in different contexts.
Not all of the stories she shares will make sense for you, of course, but she walks the reader through the process of understanding and building our own.
Brava! Histórias, emoções e trabalho de grupo, Uma ligação nem sempre bem identificado, Great book to start learning story telling,
