book is a brilliant collection of wisdom, from some of the worlds greatest thinkers, The list of people includes many philosophers, writers, world leaders, and various religious leaders, Some secular minded readers, may not appreciate the large content of religious citations, However, there is such a wide range of materials available, This will allow the reader to pick and choose, what they find most interesting, Hats off to Tolstoy for a job well done! This book gets a very high recommendation, This collection of daily thoughts to nourish the soul from the worlds sacred texts by Leo Tolstoy feature gems of inspiration and wisdomauthor Thomas Keneally calls this book transcendent, and that we are grateful he lived long enough to endow us with his grand inheritance.
This is the first ever English language edition of the book Leo Tolstoy considered to be his most important contribution to humanity, the work of his lifes last years.
Widely read in pre revolutionary Russia, banned and forgotten under Communism and recently rediscovered to great excitement, A Calendar of Wisdom is a day by day guide that illuminates the path of a life worth living with a brightness undimmed by time.
Unjustly censored for nearly a century, it deserves to be placed with the few books in our history that will never cease teaching us the essence of what is important in this world.
Bon emballage, Livre de bonne qualité Tolstoy is always excellent, and this book is no exception, It's a great book to have somewhere accessible where you can open it up and have a quick read, Filled with gems, wisdom, and questions to make you ponder and show you the way, A bit on the pricey side, even if buying used, but much much better

than anything you would ever find on some self help or business book list, Estimatedabout God and Religion, A lot of repetition. Thoughts contradict other thoughts. Only a few truly useful, wise thoughts and quotes which can be found in other quotebooks as well, ABSOLUTELY NOT WORTH READING. I read that book for over half a year daily, Page by page. Decent quotes, but sometimes a little out of context, Also quite a lot of religious quotes e, g. Judaism, Christianity. I would prefer philosophy, Buddhism etc, The quality of the book is good and the pages are thick enough to make notes again, Still, wouldn't buy it again,
