This book is honest and deep, Rick James who wrote the book mainly has words that deserve to be highlighted, he tells his life in shocking details, details of his good and bad experiences, this book is worth reading!

Apparemment il y a eu une autre bio du Punk Funk artist, vraiment écrite par lui, celle là vaut le détour en tout cas, des tas d'anecdotes, de révélationsà quand une réédition pour tous de Bustin out of L Seven et Garden Of Love?

Rick James is certainly an interesting character who has led a wild life, however I don't think I'd trust his version of events completely. I'm not saying that things are made up, that we're getting the version he wants us to hear rather than the real version of events. I get the feeling that he's not the most honest of people. This book seems to justify the Chappelle caricature. Which btw along with all the Charlie Murphy stories isn't mentioned (in case you were wondering).He comes across as arrogant and narcissistic a lot of the time. I don't get the feeling that he's doing it to be open that he's just so wrapped up in himself that he's totally unaware of how he's coming across.Having said all that it is a very entertaining story. If you can stand hearing his excuses for why things went wrong in his life, and his bragging about his many. many sexual conquests (something which I'm sure you'd expect to find in a book about Rick James).If you're a huge fan you can add another star to my rating but I think this book could of been better without so much ego, but then again I don't think that's a book that Rick was capable of writing.
