Ajahn Sumedho urges us to trust in awareness and find out for ourselves what it is to experience genuine liberation from mental anguish and suffering just as the Buddha himself did two and a half thousand years ago Buddhism is not about becoming the model of humanity or escaping the natural conseuences of our past deeds but of putting aside all pretence and all ideas in order to simply be where we are The author therefore encourages us not to take our lives personally but to look at the reality of this moment free from beliefs views and opinions He refers freuently to his own experiences his own journey along the path and this he does humorously guilelessly and sometimes with brutal honesty Ajahn Sumedho an American Buddhist monk practised for ten years in Thailand with the well known monk Ajahn Chah He has since spent over thirty years in England and is the founder of the Cittaviveka Forest Monastery in West Sussex and the Amaravati Buddhist Monastery in Hertfordshire His many books include The Mind and the Way Teachings of a Buddhist Monk and The Sound of Silence

Dont Take Your Life Personally Reviews

Este libro es una maravillosa y sencilla introducción a la meditación budista, pero también un conjunto de sabios y profundos consejos para el practicante medio o inicial. Como no soy avanzada en la práctica de la meditación (llevo unos 21 años practicando regularmente),

Absolutely brilliant! These transcribed talks by Ajahn Sumedho are some of the best I have come across. Deserves to be read widely by practitioners from all traditions of Buddhism. Resonates well not only with Therevada Buddhism but also with Zen and particularly, in my view, with Dzogchen and Mahamudra. With his characteristic humour and humility, again and again Sumedho brings you to the heart of the matter and how to take your life less seriously and personally.

The package got lost in transport, and when I took contact with the seller for tracking, they offered to send another immediately without any extra cost. They are super polite and helpful! The book is in the condition exactly as description. I'm so so satisfied with both purchase and seller. Highly recommended!

Don't Take Your Life Personally is an interesting book. Good read and give path to achieve 'Sovan' and finally 'Nivan'.Interpretation of Lord Buddha's words are very good. Every thing relating to mind is explain in simple terms. Not many 'Pali' words.
