Macbeth: Pelican Shakespeare: The Pelican Shakespeare Reviews
-
My book came with huge damage, scuffed, torn and whatnot, really doesn't do a good job with the handling of books.Anyways, I bought it because it was a pelican edition and I heard footnotes that are given inside the book are sufficient enough to read a Shakespeare play (and they are).• The other editions: Compared to others they have a good introduction, a theatric introduction and the plays themselves have good footnotes. I have tried oxford Shakespeare but although they do have a good introduction, they don't have good footnotes, according to me. The Penguin classics are the same as oxford. If you want to read one of these you should at least but No Fear Shakespeare or Folger's library edition for Shakespeare.• My final opinion: I saw this Pelican edition of Shakespeare in my college library and was amazed to see the quality of footnotes inside, hence I bought it, although the book is heavenly, it was damaged (very), the pages are yellowish but thick and of good quality and the font isn't biblical at all and most of all how they gave us all the introduction, information and footnotes under 100 pages. So yeah, love the book but you suck at it.

Decent copy. The covers could have been a bit sturdy.

La edición es muy buena; lo que se espera de un Penguin. Esta portada es probablemente una de mis favoritas. Y Lady Macbeth es asombrosa.
