Honestly, I did not expect so much knowledge packed into a book (1108 research papers), it is not only the number of papers but the way in which these papers are presented in a book that is very easy to understand and with tips that are easy to carry out. I highly recommend this book.I was totally unaware of the effects of glycine on our biology, it's really amazing. There is no cell or tissue organ that does not benefit from the surprising results of this small amino acid. Quickly summarizing: anti aging, osteoporosis, sarcopenia, skin health, hair, cancer, cardiometabolic protection, inflammation, ferroptosis, brain (sleep medicine, pain control, psychiatry, neuroinflammation, memory), balances the intake of methionine (essential amino acid as anabolic and hair coloring, but its excess can increase homocysteine, a negative marker of cardiovascular risk). At the molecular level, it protects against endoplasmic reticulum stress, which, when altered, generates misfolded proteins, the molecular basis of most pathologies) and let us not forget the effect on mitochondria in relation, for example, to sarcopenia.One of the most rapid effects of glycine supplementation was sleep quality and duration. It has some good information, but it is a tough read. Way too many complicated explanations that are difficult to follow. The best way to read the book is to skim it and when you run across something interesting, then read carefully. Then after finishing it, use it as a reference. Fortunately, the part of the book that you actually read is only half of the book. The last half is thousands of credits and study references. Probably worth the $ vor the Kindle version, but a very difficult read.
