Dont you love it when a book surprises you? Stealing Parker was an unexpected hit with me! There were three reasons it was a strong read: a strong real main character, a wonderful quirky love interest and a compelling story. Parker Shelton has

***ARC received by Sourcebooks Fire for review purposes*** One thing I learned from reading Catching Jordan is to expect the unexpected when it comes to Miranda Kenneallys awesome books. Because of this, it is hard for me to write a spoiler free review of

Stealing Parker was one of my most anticipated books of 2012! I fell in love with Miranda Kenneally (and her writing) when I read Catching Jordan, and I absolutely could not wait to read Stealing Parker. For the most part, I avoided reviews (although I did read two from

SPOILER ALERT I could tell from the beginning of this book the student/teacher relationship wasnt going to be a HEA. And when I started reading, I wanted it to be. I love the forbidden love story of the teacher/student (i.e. when the student isnt 13 a

WOW! Stealing Parker was really, really great! I don’t even know where to begin. I guess lets start with Parker. Parker is a girl whose world was completely turned upside down when her mother decided to reveal that she’s gay. Parker is so lost that I just wanted

Stealing Parker is the second book in the Hundred Oaks series, however, as the three books out in the series it can be read as a standalone book. In this story Parker is trying to heal escape the shame and pain her mother’s departure brought on her family. During this

I really liked this book Parker is a girl who kisses multiple guys to prove she likes boys ONLY when her ex best friend Laura calls her Butch and says she will turn out like her mother and like girls. Parker struggles with her faith when her mom ran off with her girlfriend

This is the second book by Miranda Kenneally that I have read and the second of hers that I have fallen in love with. I love the forbidden romance in the book and in a way I felt as if it was pretty realistic. I mean lets face it, all of us had a crush on at least

This angsty story is obviously for teens/young adults, but is very drawn out. The main things to learn from it are that young people should not jump into infatuation relationships and that a lot of churchy people are hypocrites. Not as good as the first in the series but does overlap with it.

Totally love this book! A very good read for older teenagers! Not your usual teen book, it has a deeper meaning and a good moral! With fit boys, mean girls, and a heroine that falls for two guys, its got all the makings for an amazing teen book! Good to read when you need cheering up, want a laugh, having boy problems, or even if u just want a new book, this is perfect and easy to get addicted to I didnt want to put it down!!!!!!

I have a love hate relationship with this book. At the start, I found it depressing and I wouldnt recommend you start reading it if you feel sad.I enjoy this read however it took me on a roller coaster of ups and downs. It has heavily based religious themes which I didnt love.Parker is the model student, daughter and Christian but her mothers actions change everything. She becomes an outcast and adjusts to deal with the cards laid out. Parker dates guys like hot meals and doesnt like them to get too close. She has her best friend Drew for that. This book is about love, romance and acceptance.Parker is a loveable character. She was funny, crazy, cool and a hot mess. Parker was also immature, too worried about what God thought and wanted to be accepted. Shes a diverse character who I learnt to love.Stealing Parker is an interesting read that kept me hooked right to the end. I liked the writing style and the main characters. It made me laugh in places. It offers something different, and there is minimal sports talk.I didnt like the god/sinner theme it became too much. I didnt like the brothers storyline, and in places, it was a little too negative for my liking. The sex scenes also very cringe worthy. My last problem with this is the ending. It just didnt give enough to quench the thirst. This is the second book in the Hundreds Oak high series but can be read as a standalone. The books that leave a taste in your mouth sometimes get you thinking for days, and this book does that therefore it gets a solid 4 stars out of 5. Like I said I loved it, but I hated it.
