Unfiltered: The CEO and the Coach Reviews

I'm an experienced coach and an avid reader and am often disappointed by books about coaching. This book was not one of those! In fact, it may be the most interesting and helpful book on coaching I've come across. What I particularly liked was how open and vulnerable each of the co authors are with their perceptions, experiences, accrued wisdom, and recommendations for further reading. They genuinely want you, the reader, to get as much as you possibly can from reading the book, and because both of them are extremely experienced in their respective fields, there's a lot of value here. I can't recommend this book enough to anyone who is starting out as an Executive or Leadership Coach. You'll learn here than you would from hours of expensive business or mentor coaching, particularly with respect to how to structure an engagement for maximum impact. And if you're an experienced coach, you will be humbled but ultimately inspired by this book to take your coaching to the next level, drawing on the many insights so generously shared.

Super interesting read for anyone who’s ever had an inkling of curiosity towards coaching or what it’s like to be coached. I especially enjoyed the chapter of dialogue between Ana and Saurabh. Getting insight into both perspectives and seeing them each think through their thoughts is very eye opening. I really appreciate having the curtains lifted from an intimate coaching session. There’s so much to learn from this book, I throughly enjoyed reading it.

What a brave book! I loved getting an inside view into the coaching process and the reflections of both Ana, the coach, and Saurabh, the CEO. It’s always fascinating to get a view of another coaches practice and technique but rarely do we have the opportunity to hear directly from a client on what resonated and caused shifts during their journey.I absolutely recommend this book for anyone curious about coaching and for those interested in expanding their own coaching toolkit. Well written, honest, reflective and real. This a gift to the coaching community.

Super engaging insight into one of the most privileged and fascinating professional relationships in the business world that of senior leader and their exec coach. Ana and Saurabh have written a compelling must read for leaders and coaches keen to fulfil their potential and up their game!

I read this book while I was undergoing executive coaching myself. And by reading this book I could relate it with my own journey. Not just that but I could get value out of my own coaching after having read this book that tells how Saurabh was able to change himself. Additionally the best learning from the book is as Ana talks about "developing third voice in your mind" that acts as a coach for self.
