What a Waste: Trash, Recycling, and Protecting our Planet Reviews

It's a lively book with great illustrations and facts. The bite size bits of info meant my daughter stayed interested and enjoyed sharing facts with us. Only reason for knocking off stars was because it was disappointing that it was all America orientated information meaning lots of specific facts were based on American themes.

A good book but doesn’t even touch on a sustainable, plant based diet which widely agreed to be the most effective thing for us all to do to protect the environment.Other than that well presented and informative my 6 year old (who hates writing) was so fired up by it he is writing letters of protest to the leaders of Brazil about deforestation!

This has alot of information in it, than expected. Each page can either be accessed for short bursts of info or studied for longer for detail, great for a range of children to access, lots of paragraphs of info that can be just 'dibbed into' informally. We'll ll be using this for recycling and sealife homeschooling projects. Nice eco feel paper pages and nice gentle illustrations (not bright, brash and stylised) lovely book, very pleased with it and would recommend

We are enjoying the book so far. However it is disappointing to receive a book on the problems of waste in such wasteful packaging. Hence the three stars.

This book is perfect to introduce environmental issues to children. I bought this to share with my Year 1 class and the pictures and information are perfect. Ideal for all primary school age groups you can access as much or as little information as needed.
