Blood and Granite: True Crime from Aberdeen Reviews

  • Sharon Burgin

An interesting collection of short stories about murders that have been committed over them years in Aberdeen. The first half of the book feels like fiction until you come across the photographs taken at the time of the killings. Then you realise that this is a factual book. This is even more evident as you come hip to date and actually start remembering the cases. It's daunting though how many have not been solved, especially when you have family living in the area!

  • Marilyn Blair

Interesting to read about true events in a city where you live! Factual and an easy read. A little eerie when you get to the end of some of the short stories to find out that the case was never solved and the perpetrator is still out there!

I don't think anyone every proofread this book. It was painful to read in that regard. Otherwise, I quite enjoyed it. Many of the crimes took place just streets away from where I live... creepy!
