Retrieve Cowboy, Take Me Away Fabricated By Kathleen Eagle Document
on Cowboy, Take Me Away

good easygoing read. I liked the characters and the story line, This is something I wouldn't mind reading again but more for passing time, something to read, or something for comfort and relaxing, I didn't get pulled in but this definitely kept me interesting, I loved the little bantering that was between them, it was fun and friendly, I got a little confused reading parts of this book, I don't know why, but I think some of it just went over my head cuz I just didn't get it.
I think that's something that most people would obviously get but it just passed me by and I was left wondering 'What just happened' quite a few times.
Maybe I'm just not in the loop or had a few blonde moments, Anyhow, I liked this book, There were plenty of emotions, fun dialog what I understood, good characters, some warm scenes, great side characters I would definitely like to read more on them, some miniselfdiscovery and, of course, a happy ending that left me with a little smile.
Enjoy This was an okay read, I think I found the jargon and the clever, witty language a turnoff because there was just so much of it, They hardly seemed to speak in what I would think of as normal English, It was all double talk, in terms that are completely inaccessible for me as an Englishwoman, However, the premise of the story was interesting, Kathleen Eagle transforms the title of a Dixie Chicks song into a wonderful albeit somewhat lightweight romantic novel featuring the likeable characters of Skyler and Trace, Skyler is an older woman with a past, a late husband, debts, and a love of horses, Trace is the younger rodeo cowboy with miles of cocky swagger who catches her eye from behind the camera lens, Skyler is freelance photographer hoping to make some extra money, Trace and Skyler hit it off immediately, Their chemistry literally jumps off the page as much as their coy dialoguesome phrases are so ripe with double meaning youll giggle, Ms. Eagle certainly has a way words, and developing likeble characters, This story is all about two adults taking a chance, and going in a direction they usually avoid, Its a fun read without as much of the middleact heartbreak that some romance novels include, If you love a good romance novel, handsome cowboys, and ladies who take a chance on love, “Cowboy, Take Mme Away” is the book for you! I love this book.
its a great read. I got it in the mail from harlequin free book, it is a lovely cowboy romance, i would reccommend it to everyone, Good read, will probably look out for this author in the future, Fine Read.
Bucking bronc rider
Meets widow photographer
Helps her train wild horse
Too many issues
Another abrupt ending

I love cowboys and horses so the summary of this book really interested me despite the pregnancy storyline which I was quite hesitant about, For nearly the whole book I was anxious in regards to that conflict, which is one I don't care for, and how it would be handed, I think Eagle did a great job addressing it then moving on, It wasn't drawn out and painful like many authors would have made it, I think that made the book a lot smoother and enjoyable read for me,
I liked Skyler, She was fun, smart, interesting, . . And I liked Trace even more, Definitely loved the cocky, sexy cowboy image he had going on, Their relationship just didn't work for me though in the first half of the book, Passionate moments felt cold and other than great one liners, I never felt them connect in conversation, However, I did love their instant attraction, Sure the build up can be fun but it often contains some angst or denial, neither of which I find enjoyable, I really liked that there was no pretense or nonsense between Skyler and Trace in regards to attraction, They liked each other so they let it happen, The second half of the book was a whole different rodeo it was a wild ride and I loved every second of it,
The love scenes can go either way, If you're looking for something explicit and detailed, you won't enjoy the sex in this book, If you're looking for something a little more subtle then you'll really enjoy what Eagle's got in store for you,
Something about this book didn't feel modern, it felt more like something from the mideighties, I think it was a combination of the author's narrative language and the dialogue given to the characters, Some lines had a current witty and cleverness but much of it had an older feel, This wasn't a problem for me, but it was a surprise that took some adjusting to,
Lastly, many people aren't going to get the rodeo or equine talk and it isn't really explained, It's not necessary knowledge for the story but it will be frustrating to encounter that type of language not knowing what's going on considering both characters' lives revolve around horses.
When photographer Skyler Quinn first fixed her lens on gorgeous cowboy Trace Wolf Track, she liked what she saw but didn't give it much thought, Until everywhere she went the rodeo, the Double D Wild Horse Sanctuary there he was, and the heat between them built to the boiling point,
As a widow struggling with debts and loyalties from a former life, Skyler needed to stay focused, especially if she wanted to achieve her dream of becoming a mother.
Was Trace a fatal distraction, a mere summer fling Or did this younger man, so deep, so passionate, hold the key to a future that would make all her dreams come true
He had controlled her life and her future, she had raisesd his son, but she slowly discovered that she had compromised her dreams and her need for a deeply satisfying love relationship for companionship and financial security.
Her deepest hope was to become a mothersingle motherhood was just finebut while raising her husband's son was a good experience, she wanted a baby of her own.
Hooking up with a gorgeous cowboy seemed like a good idea, even if he didn't know her plan,
Trace Wolf Track was a deep and complicated man who was well on his way to a rodeo championship and was also a master horse trainersomething Skylar was also involved in and something she was hoping would eventually produce some income for her.
They met as she was also exercising her other lovephotographyand as they kept "bumping" into one another, decided to spend Trace's birthday togetherhisth birthday, He was virile and manly, but he was committed to "moving on down the road, " Even though they were thrown together longer than either of them planned due to a rodeo injury, it just didn't seem like their lives were headed in the same direction.
When Skylar finally confessed that she had pushed their first sexual encounter to be without a condom because she was hoping to get pregnant, somehoweven though it made Trace pull away from her for a whilethey still stayed together, even to the point where Skylar continued to travel with him to several rodeo events.
Skylar's need for stability eventually put an end to that kind of experience for themthey still wanted to "see" each other,
This novel was not a simple one to read, It is filled with clues and nuances that keep the reader guessing about what is really going on inside these two people, That they were attracted to one another was never in doubt, But a future together That question was not easily answered, Could they resolve their differing hopes for the future That was another issue that appeared not to have an easy solution, either, Their conversations were a delightit was really sparring at its best, Both were intelligent and thinking people, and both used words brilliantly to keep one another on edge, The author demonstrated a wonderful capacity to write sparkling and fascinating repartee,
I have to admit that there were times I wondered if I would ever figure out these two, Skylar's stepson was also a part of the "mix" that caused some confusion and difficulty between Skylar and Trace, That he had been adoped by his stepfather: a council member of the Lakota Siouxmade a tremendous effect on Trace's way of thinking and his philosophy of living and relating to people.
It gave this story an added dimension, So getting all the pieces of the story to come together took time and, frankly, took to nearly the end of the story, It takes a very good author to tease out the tale to that extent and Ms Eagle did it well, It is a very romantic tale about very real people with insecurities and dreams and worries and disappointmentspeople who had felt the harsh realities of living but who were insisting on finding something better for themselves.
That they were also willing to open their hearts to something new may not have been true initially, but their attraction and growing connection to one another put them squarely in the middle of having to make that decision.
That kind of tension makes for a good story,
So I recommend this novel to those who want a story that stretches the mind and engages the heart, who like to experience the kind of tension that resonates throughout this story and who are willing to "stay the course" to the very end.
That's what it will take to get the sense of what this story entails,
I give it a rating ofout of,

This is a tender love story of folks who are decent and must decide if they will alter their courses a little so they can share the same road.
Ultimately sweet.Stars This is bookin Ms, Eagle's Wild Horse Sanctuary series, While this book works as a standalone, I think readers would appreciate the stories if they are read as a series,
In this story, the hero is Trace, the rodeo bareback rider son of Logan from the previous book, It opens with the heroine, Skylar taking photos of blue jeans sitting on the top rail of the rodeo pen, and when the best pair jumps off, she becomes entranced with the new views of the cowboy who filled those jeans.
And when the cowboy in her view finder catches up with her, and convinces her to help him celebrate histh birthday, it's the beginning of something rather special.
Skylar is ayear old widow whose husband ofyears had beenyears her senior, She'd gladly became the woman he wanted, and helped to raise his son, And when he suffered a stroke, she became his caregiver, It's been a year since his death, and Skylar's stepson is eager to see her happy and pushes her to start dating, Skylar's doing her best to keep the ranch afloat and to achieve her dreams, She's good with horses, so she enters in Sally Drexler's wild horse competition in the hopes of gaining some creds to build a horse training business, In the meantime, she uses her photographic eye to boost the bank account,
Trace has a dream too, He wants that champion buckle and this year is his year, He's winning and earning well, and looking to keep moving on down the road all the way to the National Finals, Once he has that win, he'll be ready to plan ahead, Buying and training horses is his other talent, and seems to fit in with Skylar, Their connection has thrown him for a loop, that and her plan to have a baby with or without him,
Ms. Eagle is a master of the banter witty, fun, and sometimes deeply emotional, This is the fifth book of hers that I've read in a row, and I've come to truly appreciate her talent, Her characters come to life with real issues to overcome, This world around the Drexlers and the Wolf Tracks is one well crafted and easily to become invested in, I'm looking forward to reading the next in the series, .
