This was pretty good
I like a good ol' Alpha Male Dominance when they're taking on their mate - but how do 4 Male Alpha's of different species live in Harmony?
Guess it's not always that easy, but these guys were best friends. So when they found out that Carna, One of the 3 Princesses with Pure Blood was in town, they started planning. They kidnapped her - but she did put up a fight. Which made her all that much better in their eyes.
Once drugged and brought back to the cabin these 5 shifters were staying in.. Jacob (Bear) Austin (Wolf) Marcus (Tiger) Blue (Panther) and Calab (can't remember what he is)
Anyways - Blue and Marcus were the ones to actually kidnap her, so once they pulled up at the cabin, the other 3 shifters ran for the car. When Austin took her away from Marcus, he was not happy.
When Carna woke up and saw the 5 shifters staring at her she was pissed. Can you blame her? She was slow waking from the drugs, so she decided to shift into her wolf to get her to speed up the process of waking up.
And they thought she was cute :)
After she realized she wasn't getting out of there she shifted back. Naked and cold and scared, Marcus wrapped his big jacket around her shoulders and held her close to him. Since she had to cozy up to one of them, it might as well be him.
"So who gets to keep her? I vote me since we're the same species."
HA Yeah right - "Marcus couldn't believe how messed up the situation had become. "Both of you shut up! Don't you think she should have a say?"
When the others started arguing again, she turned into Marcus's eyes and begged him to let her go. Telling him she should get to chose who she wanted to mate with, not have others choose for her. After all, that's why she and her sisters left home.
So Marcus slowly walked her to the door and let her run off.
Shifting into her wolf and running like mad, she knew the others would be chasing after her. Once she was sure she got enough distance between them she was able to slow down get her her barings. it was a full moon, but in the middle of a forest she didn't know, she couldn't navigate her way out. That's when she spotted him.. the panther with the blue eyes. She recognized those eyes... and behind her, the wolf - they had her cornered. When they shifted, they tried to talk her into going back, but she wasn't going to go without a fight.
When they heard gunshots, they realized Hunters were on their trail They grabbed her hand and ran to a nearby cave.
Carna has issues with confined spaces. She can't stand feeling caged in. And this cave/hole in the rock was freaking her out....But when blue put his arm around her and reassured her that they would protect her with their own lives... something only a mate would do, she started to relax a little....
Cute story, hot sex and 4 yummy shifters :) As usual Jacob (the bear) is my favorite :) Only he's not the soft gentle bear that you usally read about :) He's the sweetheart that likes it rough :)
Each sifter had their own personality, but some how they all became friends, and they all knew it was Fate bringng them together with this Princess

Succumbing to fate
What a fantastic story. The author really did a great job with this ménage book. I enjoyed how the female made them work for her, as she tried to come to terms with her new reality. This book was more than just the steamy scenes and it was amazing because of the edge of danger and excitement. I am really looking forward to reading about the rest of these royal sisters and the males that win their hearts. -

From page one you will find yourself spiraling out of reality with this one of a kind plot: a world of blue blood shifter princesses and a group of male shifters who will stop at nothing to find and mate with one, so that their race will continue.
Five men may have worked well together to find the female, but the headaches had just begun after drugging and kidnapping one of the Demori sisters. The three sisters are the keystone to the survival of all the shifter races, be it wolf, tiger, panther, bear, fox, and God knows what else. However, Carna like her sisters, wants to be loved for who she is, and not what she is. “When she decides to mate, if she decides to mate, it will be with males of her choosing”, not five kidnappers.
The plot is as far from reality as one can get, but it held a certain paranormal charm with a fresh and unique theory of the were-shifter's creation and mating practices. I had to really pay close attention to the story at the beginning so I could learn what each of the heroes changed into, but even from the start I could not help but to become attached to all of the characters and laugh at their antics through the entire tale. The sex scenes were animalistic in nature, as to where and how rough they played out, which fit right into the whole shifter theme.
For a short story I was amazed at just how complete and detailed the story line was. It was witty, entertaining, and worth reading at least once. -
This was really short and HOT, but it could have been better. There was really no character development, and things were really rushed. Considering she had to "get to know" 4 guys, yeah the book should have been longer. There was so much potential at the start of this story. Then it was like the raging hormones overshadowed Carna's concerns and any discussion possibilities. I was just sad to see the story end as soon as it did.

She was too fucking compliant. and contradictory.
She wanted to escape one second, and literally in the next sentence "Omg, I'm so horny" like, seriously, make up your mind! By which I mean, fight and run away. It's like she makes these half assed attempts at running, and the moment they get close, she stops. Like wtf?
Well, I wasn't expecting much anyway, so I got what I'd asked for I suppose... -
It's been a while since I've read a reverse harem shifter romance and one's that are from publishers like Siren or Everlasting. They all have a similar vibe in my opinion, and I missed that. Claiming Their Mate was a good start and I think I'll be reading the next book in this series. I had my doubts about this at the beginning and I was wrong about it. I like the plot/lore and I want more.

Carna is a werewolf princess with royal blood, and royal blood is needed to continue the shifter bloodlines. When a group of five shifters kidnap her with the intention of mating her for her royal blood, Carna fights back, but they all feel the pull to her of a true mate, and she feels the pull to all five of them. Being of royal blood normally means having three mates of different species, but Carna doesn't want to be forced to mate ... she wants love. The group of shifters who kidnapped her aren't her only concern though. There is a group of hunters that are capturing and/or killing wild animals.
Claiming Their Mate is the second book by Stacey Espino that I've read. The first being Catch Me If You Can which I really liked, so I was looking forward to reading more of Stacey's work. Claiming Their Mate is a paranormal romance, and it is one of my favorite genres to read. And I hate to say this, but I didn't enjoy this story as much as I enjoyed the other one. I liked it for what it was but was just a little disappointed, even a little confused at times. I found it a bit difficult keeping track of whose perspective I was reading at times.
As you might expect with a story like this, it's primarily about Carna and the shifters in which she's attracted to. There is a little bit at the beginning that explains about Carna and her sisters, about how they have been hiding in separate locations not even aware of where the others are. So then the bulk of the story consists of Carna's attempt to escape capture while unsure about her feelings towards the five shifters that had originally kidnapped her. Now, while you do get to know a little bit about the shifters themselves, I just felt like there wasn't enough of the storyline. I guess you could say that the story was mainly about the actual mating of Carna with Blue (black panther), Marcus (tiger), Jacob (bear), Austin (wolf) and Caleb (fox). But I would have liked to get to know the characters better. It seemed that as soon as I felt like I could connect with a character, the story would switch to another, and I would loose that connection with the previous character. And in the end, I didn't really feel connected to any of them.
Although I was disappointed with this book, I am still looking forward to reading more of Stacey Espino's work. -
Carna is tired of being at looked for what she represents and not who she really is. It's enough unwanted attention to send her and her sisters into hiding for a bit peace. They had done well in hiding themselves and taking every precaution including separation to make it that much harder, but modern technology still found a way. After being drugged and kidnapped, Carna is forced to see what she has been missing with mates fate destined to change her mind.
An incredibly hot short story chock full of steamy shifter loving. Amazingly enough, each of the men in this ménage à cinq are uniquely characterized and given a different animal, so there’s no confusing which is which. Under the circumstances, Carna's tenacity to want mates who lover her for her is admirable even after things progress to the point of no return. The intensity of the connections is sizzling to say the least. Although the overall world-building felt lacking and the ending a bit rushed, the story was still pleasurably enjoyable.
This is the first in a new series by Ms. Espino and it will be nice to see how things progress in this pack seduction.

Carna is a lucky woman with four hot alpha males wanting her for themselves. I really wish this story will continue as a trilogy, cause it left me wanting more. She's a strong woman (physically too) and wants to mate not to be someone's prize, but to settle down with someone she loves. I can't wait to hear about Carna's sisters! This novella was a great, steamy read, proving that four men sharing a princess has all the right elements to work out. To know if that happens or not, you'll have to read it! Stacey Espino delivers a fast paced adventure and a very well balanced story!

A decent easy read about shifters. The royal bloodline keeps the shifters from dying out so Carna is very sought after. She is kidnapped by a few men and she does not for one second trust what they want from her. She wants to find her mates on her own terms and with love, she doesn't want a loveless or forced mating to happen, but because of her royalty this could become a possibility. As they move on Carna realizes she has a pull for the men who kidnapped her, but they haven't forced her to do anything against her will. Very interesting, quite a few typos and minimal plot but overall decent.

This short story was pretty typical of wolf pack stories. It was a good story. The writing wasn't the best but I was able to overlook that. I do wish that this story had been a longer story instead of several short stories. If Ms. White had given us just a few more chapters and hooked us just a little bit better, I might have been hooked enough to buy the full set. I am interested in the ending but I'm not sure that I'll purchase any other stories.

This book would have garnered 3 stars, except for the fact that not once, but twice, they spelled "throne", "thrown". No excuse for laziness. -

I like paranormal books but the concept of more than more partner in the animal kingdom seems kinda far fetching but who knows... -
Much like in her other series, Stacey Espino doesn't deliver much in this book. The whole thing is too short for us to properly meet our 6 characters. And while the steamy scenes were alright, there wasn't anything else to it.

I didn't quite understand why all Carna's mates were different type of shifters but then again Freya's are the same for the most part too. Either way it was a good read.
