I received this kit many years ago and did not have any luck germinating the seeds. The mini book gives a brief summary of the time and effort involved in creating a bonsai; enough to truly appreciate the art. I'm not sure it provided me with the encouragement or inspiration to actually attempt growing one though. Maybe some day ....

Adorable little set-up to grow your bonsai plant. Comes with 5 seeds and complete instructions. Hope I will end up with at least one healthy plant. If all 5 look good, then I may be buying 4 more little pots! lol

For what it was - namely, a pocket-guide to pocket gardening - it wasn't bad. The book provides a little information on bonsai pruning, wiring, and care, but honestly, if you want to get into the hobby, I'd strongly suggest starting elsewhere.

Seeing as the seeds never grew, it's hard to say whether or not this little book could help me grow a bonsai tree. But, from what I can tell, it's informative.
