second novel. I enjoyed this one as much as I did the first book, and while the Christian allegories might not be for everyoneI have a few beloved atheist friends who'd complain about the supernatural aspect of the story being lost in the Christian parallelsI happened to love it even more for that.
Well written, interesting, and as beautifully composed as the first book, Archibald Zwick and the Eight Towers, by author Robert Leslie Palmer, an Alabama attorney who sold his interest in his law firm to write full time, is a Christian allegorical novel.
Sixteenyearold Archie Zwick is lost at sea during a storm while kayaking off Bermuda on vacation, He is taken to the mysterious floating city of KtruumShra, which is surrounded by eight towers, each one named after a different attitude or quality, where he becomes involved in a civil war between Thlutaku, who is trying to take over, and Nderlex, who leads the opposing alliance.
But all Archie wants to do is to go home,
Truth in the Eight Towers is intended as a companion volume which will provide a serious study of the scriptures on which the novel is based and explain the symbolism supporting the allegory in the novel.
There are eight chapters giving a detailed analysis of each Scripture, with thought questions and plenty of room to write down answers, followed by an examination of the importance of “the kingdom of heaven.
” Palmer then goes on to describe in detail Archies journey and concludes with a glossary of the characters and symbols, Depending upon his understanding of the Scriptures, one may not necessarily agree with a very few specific observations or conclusions made by the author, but in general the material is very thoughtprovoking and should produce some genuine selfexamination.
It has been suggested that the book might be used to accompany a youth group Bible study, This book was given to me by the author in exchange for an honest review, I read the first book, Archibald Zwick and the Eight Towers, which I enjoyed, I was not supposed to look at or read any part of the second book until I finished with the first one, I just now completed both books, Robert Leslie Palmer best describes this book when he wrote, "Truth in the Eight Towers" explores the Beatitudes in depth by examining both the original Greek words used in the Beatitudes and related scriptures.
Perfect. Good reads, thank you for allowing me to read them, I wish i could rate more than five for this key spoil makes it sounds negative book, The book contains profound understanding of the author from studying bible as revelation to God, I also agreed with the writer's perception Be humble and don't judge anyone the way they are simply because we are all sinful and our pride is just merely filthy rags in front of God.
The book is not a hardcore bible study, it is invaluable experience shaped by true fact of life that will help us to be both happy and successful.
This is an excellent companion to help Christianminded people wade through the allegory of the "Archibald Zwick and the Eight Towers" and experience the message within.
While, I may not agree that "Archibald Zwick" should be taken in solely a Christian context, for those who desire to do so, this will help them.
A companion book to Archibald Zwick, An in depth look at the beatitudes and the symbolism in the book, Very well put together and interesting, I also received this from the author for an honest review, STOP!!!
SPOILER ALERT!
DON'T READ THIS BOOK OR THIS DESCRIPTION UNTIL YOU HAVE READ THE NOVEL, ARCHIBALD ZWICK AND THE EIGHT TOWERS!

"Truth in the Eight Towers" is a fresh new study of the Beatitudes, suggesting that because they are Christ's introduction to the Sermon on the Mount, they summarize not only that sermon but the gospel message as a whole.
In the eight Beatitudes, Christ succinctly explained not only how to become a Christian, but also how to mature in the faith, "Truth in the Eight Towers" explores the Beatitudes in depth by examining both the original Greek words used in the Beatitudes and related scriptures.
In addition, this study of the Beatitudes explains the symbolism in Palmer's first book, "Archibald Zwick and the Eight Towers," describing how Archie's adventure is really a journey through the Beatitudes.
While "Archibald Zwick and the Eight Towers" is intended to draw the teen reader in, "Truth in the Eight Towers" should prove useful to youth pastors and others teaching the biblical truths contained in that novel to their youth.
When I accepted the free copies of ARCHIBALD ZWICK AND THE EIGHT TOWERS and TRUTH IN THE EIGHT TOWERS from the author, I received instructions not to open the second book until I completed reading the first.
This book is a companion book and a must read, It is an indepth explanation of the meaning and application of the eight towers, I highly recommend both books, sitelinkTruth in the Eight TowerssitelinkRobert Leslie Palmer
I was quite impressed with this book Robert Leslie Palmer is to be commended for writing a book which is also a textbook.
The comparison of the Beatitudes and the Sermon on the Mount, and how they link one to the other is illuminating, I agree with Palmer's assessment of the old adage of speakers, Tell them what you're going to tell them, then tell them, then tell them what you told them, to describe The Beatitudes and the Sermon.
I also agree that no matter how well you think you know the Bible, it is a must to consult the original language to get a feel for what is really being said.
I am faced with just such a dilemma as I work on my own book,
Overall I rate this book as a must read for any Christian, and a great book for Bible studies or teaching young adults.
The Q and A pages are a test of your faith not to lie, If you are honest you will find you are not the righteous person you thought you were,
Bravo
